Have my first cardiology appointment next week. What can I expect?? Thanks for your replies, ps, I'm 74 and thought

Dialysis the only Option??
My husband had emergency surgery to repair an
aortic
aneurysm
which lasted well over 9 hours, as a result the blood flow to the kidneys was tied off and they are not working at all, GFR 6. The hospital has placed him on 3xweek dialysis, they are not offering any other options, are there any?

Thoracic aortic aneurysm.
I have an
aortic
aneurysm
and a dissected descending
aortic
aneurysm
. I have declined surgery and wonder if there is anyone else in the same position . Everyone seems to have had or is awaiting surgery and I feel a bit on my own with this. Is it very unusual to decline surgery?

Hi I have just been diagnosed with a small 3.5cm

Dissected aortic aneurysm
After reading some of the posts I realise that I am not alone in not having much information about my condition. My dissection was not traumatic, in fact I didn't realise I had it until I had an echo cardiographer and then a ct scan,. Naturally I 'googled' the condition afterbeing told by my GP that

Anticoagulants
Hi I'm Jo,Three years ago I had an
aortic
aneurysm
which resulted in a
aortic
root & valve replacement. I had a mechanical valve as I was 52, so I have been on Warfarin ever since. My Warfarin levels are rarely right, so have to have it adjusted regularly, but this is my concern.

Dissected thoracic aortic aneurysm.
Only just jointed in the hope I can gain a bit of information about my condition and how to manage it from anyone who has the same problem. Info seems to be few and far between from the health professionals.

Aortic Root Aneurysm
Mine is 4.6 cm. If and when it needs repair, where are some of the best hospitals and surgeons to have it?

New results relation between T4 and T3
I thought I had some improvement after my levo dose increase, but then reluctantly agreed to try statins again because after a new diagnosis of
aortic
aneurysm
and also possible angina. Within 4 days my legs were very much worse.

AAA and back pain
I've got an abdominal
aortic
aneurysm
(5.2cm) with a bicuspid
aortic
valve and am due to have surgery in about 6 weeks time. I've been getting flank and back pain and have had every test imaginable to try and determine the reason.

Effect of increased levo dose
I am hoping this will continue as I am resisting further pressure to take statins following discovery of
aortic
aneurysm
. Also the increased levo has caused a distinct improvement in my peripheral neuropathy- still a big issue but a very welcome improvement as I had hoped.
