Newbie to the community. Had a aortic root, hemiarch and coronary artery bypass grafting, with mechanical aortic valve replacement.
Had my operation in Liverpool in March 17 after an
aortic
aneurysm
was detected. Operation went very well heart wise, however I did have a minor stroke and slight epilepsy during and after the operation. Big operation and I was aware of the risks.

Why am I having an Irregular heart beat and extreme breathlessness 2 weeks post op aortic valve aneurysm replacement.
Morning everyone Sorry it's taken so long to update, where has the time gone! I was discharged on day 5 and very happy to come home. I seemed to be a text book case study patient. One wobble moving me to the cardiac ward from Adult Intensive Care Unit, my body wasn't ready to move off the morphine

Atrial Fibrillation after Aortic valve replacement and aorta Aneurysm repair.
Hi All Taken by ambulance on Sunday (26th Nov) as I have Atrial Fibrillation. Discharged Thurs 30/11 on beta blockers and Warfarin. I am exhausted, in pain and terrible fluid retention. Feel like I’ve gone back to week one. Anyone else experienced this complication and how did it resolve itself? Many

Road to recovery
So it's about 8 months since I had open heart surgery to repair an
aortic
aneurysm
. I'm currently 44 and was pretty fit before surgery. I've been through cardiac rehab and over the summer I've rejoined a gym and am training with a personal trainer.

Devastating morning 😭
Nothing to do with AF but had the most devastating morning My beautiful, 6 year old Siamese cat had an
aortic
aneurysm
early this morning One minute she was running around making her usual demands and the next she couldn't get up on her hind legs.

I'm new here, just want to pass on some experiences.
I got diagnosed in 2003 after 5 years of severe bladder symptoms. I was taking cimetidine and hydroxyzine, cimetidine for 13 years. Cimetidine affects the absorption of nutrients. I was diagnosed with Low vitamin B12 at this time, later on iron, folate, and vitamin D3. My bladder is so sensitive to

VINEGAR, my new best friend!
A few weeks ago I decided to add unfiltered vinegar to my diet and have been seeing more and more benefits. I've been encouraging people to try it ever since. Dr. Mercola has this article on his website today pointing out more of the scientific facts as to why it works. "Various studies, researchers

At the time of my diagnosis they also spotted that I had an
aortic
aneurysm
which I have since had repaired, the open method. I did stop smoking as soon as they said I had a problem, about 14 days before diagnosis and am trying to up my fitness levels. My dog is loving the extra walks.

Visual heart beat in chest and stomach
And now I've convinced myself I have an abdominal
aortic
aneurysm
. Please say this is normal to see my heart beat in chest and stomach. My anxiety is back again after a weekend of drink. Sunday had a few beers and now I'm straight back worrying about heart. Why is this :(

Getting there I hope
Also a possible
aortic
aneurysm
, although it may be scarring from the original surgery, so it is wait and see. He did say though that with my lung condition surgeons would be reluctant to do major surgery, but could do keyhole surgery if necessary.

So many medical problems, thyroid is but just one, treatment getting complicated advice?
Then, I've been randomly diagnosed with an
aortic
aneurysm
, plus ostioporosis, and have two wedge fractures in the spie (T10 and T12; these may be fractures dating back many years though; I'm trying to investigate this at the moment, with a view to sue the hospital if it turns out they never told me

Difference between Neo-Cytamen Hydroxocobalamin Chloride and Mercury pharma Hydroxocobalamin Acetate
Hello... Went to collect my B12 ampoules from chemist this afternoon and realised instead of being given my usual brand Neo-Cytamen they have given me the Mercury Pharma brand. The former contains hydroxocobalamin Chloride 1000 microgram/ml and the latter Hydroxocobalamin Acetate 1mg/ml. On the information

Keeping a sense of humor (even if it is gallows humor!)
You see, I have an ascending
aortic
aneurysm
which, in several years, will most likely require that my chest be cracked open to repair the weakened aorta. Not a minor surgery.

Short-Chain Fatty Acids and Autoimmune Diseases.
Some new work has shown that mice fed a special diet are much less likely to suffer from Type 1 diabetes. It's possible that other autoimmune diseases, maybe PA, could also be prevented by adopting a similar diet. The diet includes a type of fibre (resistant starches) that gets broken down in the large
