Antiseptic cream

Unusual question but I cut my leg the other day in a silly accident which left a nasty abrasive wound etc.Have been treating daily with antiseptic cream etc. Has anyone else found wound healing taking much longer to heal. I am on morphine based pain patches.

I have been doing dressing since operation, I put gauze and ointment on ring area and then use a cotton piece with antiseptic cream to wrap my glans to avoid it touching underwear. Removing initial dressing was painful but Lidocaine came to rescue.

One got a little sore a few days ago, so applied some antiseptic cream last night and it fell out this morning. No soreness there anymore. I've been very cautious washing around the stitches and maybe that's delayed them falling out.
