Hypersensitivity after ZSR Circumcision

Hi guys, my first post here..

I had phimosis, my foreskin was tight af and I wasn't able to stretch it even during flaccid.

I went for Zsr circumcision since there was no other option to treat it.

Operation took hardly 10 mins, it was slightly painful but it was bearable.

Today is my 28th day, wound is healing nicely but my main problem is glans hyper sensitivity.

My glans is exposed for first time and it stings while it touches anything.

I have been doing dressing since operation, I put gauze and ointment on ring area and then use a cotton piece with antiseptic cream to wrap my glans to avoid it touching underwear.

Removing initial dressing was painful but Lidocaine came to rescue. I am still using spray before changing my swab and cotton else it Hurts so bad.. Like a shock or bee sting 😢

I am walking very slowly since it gives discomfort and pain.

My question is, how much time it will take for glans to get keratinized or reduce the painful sensitivity.

My doctor said it may take a month or 4-6 weeks to fully heal.

Even the foreskin below glans is very very sensitive, glans is red and have some patches over it.. No swelling or infection tho

How was your experience with it? And how many more weeks I need to wait to wear underwear without gauze/cotton?

Any tips to reduce sensitivity faster?

Also my ZSR ring hasn't fallen down. It got lose from some ends but still bit firm underside. Is it normal? Nearing 4 week mark.

I'm in my week 2 bro. The glance sensitivity is a normal thing it will take some months to used to it. I never cover my glance. I let it to touch with my pants and I feel okay than my first days.

I can't touch it yet, forget about the fabric. I know I have to expose and stimulate it to different materials to toughen it up. But its really painful, I even get jerks while walking even with gauze and cotton

Everyone said to man up and ditch the gauze, so today I simply wrap up the cotton around glans without any moisturiser. When I had to pee, the moment I removed it was painful af plus the glans turned red and cotton got stuck at some part. When I tried to pulled it off slowly, it took me a while as it looked so red and I assume if I try to remove it forcefully, it can even bleed.

I am stuck man, probably gonna kill myself if this doesn't get any better 😢

Effects are different to each other mate. You know what I used to watch porn for hours before Circumcision. But after Circumcision, I can't even watch a porn video for 1 minute. Sperms release even without I touch my penis. So waiting is the best way to go.

Hi mate I was exactly the same I had a cirucmcision due to phimosis just under 4 weeks ago. Around the 10 day mark I started to wear underwear. Before I put the underwear on I was convinced it was too sensitive but I kind of just went for it. It’s not the most comfortable but your glans need to be exposed to different materials. So I would recommend putting some Vaseline on the head and just giving it a go to see how you feel.

Everybody’s healing is different so it’s no rush, only do what your feeling comfortable with. Take your time, feel free to drop me a message.

I am applying paraffin antiseptic but I have to cover it up with a cotton cap and then tape it to continue my day.I am not at that zone where I simply put in underwear and let it bruise.

However since yesterday, I started to put it in warm water and then dry it up and try to keep it open for 30mins.

Still a long way to go 😴

My glans is turning a bit shiny tho, is it good sign?

Hi mate, that’s fine progress is progress. Keep trying to a bit more each day. The glans being shiny is fine, all part of the healing process.

It will take time. To make it sooner keranitization you should use it actively like having sex or rubbing your glans directly. So after healed, use your newly circumcised tool as much as you can.Do not worry, bro. It's too late to worry about phimosis as you're now one among world's 33% circumcised mens. This is also on rise among Hindu/ Indian boys. But comes with sexually benefit, circumcised men last in bed, so your wife is lucky. Yet teach your son as soon as he reaches like around 8 year old or age that he can retract his foreskin so that at least he can live with his foreskin or you can continue your trademark to your son's genital.

6/8 weeks and the glans is absolutely fine for sure , don’t wear clothes for like 1/2 weeks tho putting boxers on and getting it used to touching stuff made mine heal faster , I’m 9 weeks since my cut and mines got a skin bridge underneath so be careful of that

Thanks for the reply, I started applying coconut oil although I pour it as I am scared to touch. Now atleast I don't feel jerk while walking and removing gauze is easier.

I would say at least 6 weeks, but we all heal differently. At six weeks, if no improvement I advise introducing gentle touch to 'acclimatise . It will improve, meanwhile wear tight pants to reduce movement and wear soft bathrobes around the house if possible.

Thanks, I am feeling better than before. I am assuming it takes time and there is no workaround apart from patience.

I am still not touching it but I started to put it in warm water and coconut oil after that

Yes, time is the great healer. I was touching the shaft with finger and thumb to avoid the pain for a while.Salt water will help, next go for the shower spray.

I started to dip in warm water and touched it yesterday. Feeling better than before. Some sensitivity still left underneath and on sides but I think few more weeks will do the job

Update -

Upper part of glans seems keratinizing and looks like a tree bark. Yesterday I finally touched it and it doesn't feel pain but it felt kinda dry.

Hyper sensitivity in side of glans and under the tip is still there but not as much as before. I am hopeful it will keratinize in upcoming weeks.

However I erect hard when I touch my glans, not an issue but it gives weird feeling as of now.

I am only applying coconut oil and I think its doing a good job.

Jerks while walking is almost gone, but I am still using a cotton cover till my remaining sensitivity fully subsides.

Overall feeling positive, hopefully few more weeks till everything goes normal ☺️

Heyy, I'm on my 9th day and skin around the zsr ring loosened from every side,i can see gaps between skin and ring does it mean ring going to fall off soon?

Please guidee
