Antihistamines
seem to be keeping my hay fever at bay (never had it before now!!) The last puzzle is to get my legs working, muscles are still quite weak, despite exercise.

Itching/hives with Lupus?
I've tried H1
antihistamines
(allergies/zyrtec) and upping the dosage but it doesn't seem to help enough! The itching is all over and the hives can last for minutes and some larger ones last for up to a week! (which I have heard is a sign it's an autoimmune hive??)

Anyone had patch testing for allergies?
So Monday I went for patch testing!.. Had 82 allergens put on my back for 2 days! Gotta say I didn’t notice much! Possibly some itching and burning, but nothing all to bad!.. Well today they pulled the patches off and I exploded in to one big red/rash/hives back! Now I’m pretty sure I have ‘sensitive

Two types of drugs you may want to avoid for the sake of your brain: Anticholinergic drugs and Benzodiazepines
The strongest anticholinergic drugs include some
antihistamines
, tricyclic antidepressants, medications to control overactive bladder, and sleeping pills. Benzodiazepines boost another neurotransmitter's effectiveness.

Actemra injection skin reaction
A couple of weeks ago I asked if anyone had the skin reaction to weekly Actemra injections because I was getting a large itchy red rash right across my thigh that lasted about 4 days. Its a very common reaction apparently. I was advised to take an antihistamine (Loratadine) but wasn't happy with that

Late onset asthma confusion
I am aged 50, I’ve never had any problems with my chest before. I had a chest infection in December. I was given antibiotics, steroids and salbutamol inhaler and told that there was a possibility I might have asthma. My symptoms improved with the treatment. But the tight chest and sporadic cough have

Side effects after Prednisolone withdrawal
After 3 1/2 years on Prednisolone for GCA (confirmed by biopsy), I have managed the very slow taper off the drug, had bloods done after 3 weeks and all seems OK. However, I have a very, very itchy, blotchy skin which is soothed somewhat by antihistamine tablets and copious creaming and very stiff arms

Chronic itchiness
has resulted in a prescription for
antihistamines
and a cream. I have read that
antihistamines
are not effective in treating 'kidney itch' and with a young child who suffers with eczema I must so far have tried every cream known to man.

Has anyone else had issues with their eyes and has Hashimoto’s?
A Few months ago I woke up & both my eyes were swollen. They’d been watering for weeks previously. And I’ve been using drops for dry eyes. I’ve no idea what the issue was. Spoke to Drs and advised to take an antihistamine, which I’ve been doing now, for weeks, but issues still remain. It has taken
