So I was all mentally prepared to have my colonoscopy tomorrow. Have gone through the 2 days of low residue diet too. Now had to cancel my appointment as I appear to be allergic to the Moviprep.
Luckily I had only taken 250ml as within half an hour my tongue started to swell and felt really thick and sore from rubbing on my teeth. I phoned the unit and they said not to take anymore and to take an antihistamine which I've done and to go to A&E if the swelling starts to affect my swallowing/breathing. This is just typical for me!

Ugh!!! I am so sorry to hear this. You were ready. You were focused.
I have to admit you are the first one I've heard of to have this happen. I'm sure others have had this happen and will jump in here to tell what they had to do.
There has to be a prep or procedure that you would be able to take.
Thanks for your reply. I have over the years developed a lot of allergies to foods, hair dye, medications etc. that I have always been fine with. Hopefully the unit will get back to me today to sort out some way of getting this done.
