I'm currently taking levo 137.5 mcg and thybon henning t3, 5mcg x3 times a day. Last couple of weeks I've been feeling as if a cold is taking hold, today is the worst I've felt, scratchy throat, runny nose and feeling run down. I'm considering taking antihistamines , incase its an allergy but unsure of which one to take. Any recommendations will be very much appreciated.

Which anti histamine?

Cetirizine hydrochloride is the one that doesn't give me side effects. But if on it a long time you can feek itchy when you stop it.
I take Bilastine and I’m on both Levo and Lio too. Sunday my other half had a horrendous day of sneezing, blowing and blocked up nose. He was convinced he had a cold as he had taken his normal Fexofenadine tablet. This time of year it’s normally tree allergies. However by evening it all suddenly stopped and the next day he was fine.
He’s thought for some time this medication has not been working so he did a trial with mine which was good. Also some studies we looked at confirmed Bilastine may work better too.
I take acrivastine - I fine I only need one which if affected on waking, I take early. I always take my thyroid med in the night so no overlap. I don't take anti-histamines regularly - only when I really need them (tree pollen is main trigger). We are all different and you may need to try a few before you find one that works for you and has the fewest side affects. I had dreadful effects from some of the others. Acrivastine is generally more expensive (unless you can get it prescribed) but definitely worth it in my case.
