Herbal medicines for diabetes
Is anyone taking herbal medicines for their blood-sugar control or any aspect of the disease management? If so, what's your take on it? Has it been beneficial or harmful? I'm interested in getting opinions for and against. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks

Burdock Root
Just come across a 'Burdock Root' posting on Facebook and thought it might be of interested. Don't know anything about it apart from what was written on Face Book, I haven't even 'Googled' it myself yet. (Apparently,) Burdock Root is a medicinal Herb that has powerful anti-tumor, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory

Anyone ever had external signs of liver/gallbladder problems plus high GGT?
Hi everyone. I've been a lurker for some time but decided it's time to post my experience and see if anybody has ever heard of what I am suffering from. I developed a lesion on my lower right abdomen about 18 months ago. It was painless and looked a bit like a bruise. Doc tried steroid cream, antibiotics

Does amlodipine help with Raynauds symptoms? I do take blood pressure medicine Losartan but have been on for years might change meds.
Also, notice a fine rash on several toes as my feet warm up and have treated with cortisone and antifungal with no change for months. Is this just part of Raynaud's?

Honey
Honey, that delectable condiment for breads and fruits, could be one sweet solution to the serious, ever-growing problem of bacterial resistance to antibiotics, researchers said here today. Medical professionals sometimes use honey successfully as a topical dressing, but it could play a larger role

Can someone please talk me through candida treatment?

I think I'm now feeling the effects of my last round of antibiotics. I thought I'd got away unscathed but over the last month I've developed various

How much TSH fluctuation is normal?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could possibly advise or share their experience... I am on 75mcg of levo and have been since September. In November my TSH was 0.75 (0.27-4.2) and I was feeling pretty much back to normal. I've just been restested this week (because I started taking a herbal supplement

There is hope!
Just wanted to let you all know that there is hope. In 2010 I was diagnosed with Lupus after many years of chronic fatigue, aches and pains, but now I am in remission and I've stopped all medication! The meds didn't agree with me anyway, so I was forced to try an alternative approach. I use acupuncture

Vitamins & Herbal Medicine.
I spoke to my doctor on Thursday about starting some herbal tablets or vitamins. She said that it was okay to start some. I'm looking for anything that would help with energy, fatigue, sleep, joints and pain. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Bitter Melon and Diabetes
Bitter Melon’s powerful insulin lowering properties are currently being looked at as an effective treatment for Diabetes. Studies suggest that Bitter Melon may play a role in controlling the production of insulin by the body, thus promoting blood sugar control. The hypoglycemic effect is more pronounced
