But, I keep reading that
antidepressants
can help with pain. I'm trying many things for pain that now aren't working well enough but pain isn't my only problem.

Cold turkey
I've been on
antidepressants
half my life ( I'm 47) I feel like I'm in a good place now...I mostly take them for severe panic attacks. I would like to stop taking them by myself. No doctors or therapy. Has anyone out there gone off their meds by themselves successfully? If so, how?

Hi...new here, going through a rough patch
I’ve suffered from depression and anxiety most of my life (I’m 60) and have been on all kinds of
antidepressants
including Celexa for the last 20+ years. Have had numerous short-term counseling over the years but nothing now but want to start up again (finding someone is an ordeal).

How fresh does blood have to be?
I was put on
antidepressants
and in June last year my blood test showed a high-ish cholesterol score (despite not eating for about a month before the test...) plus the other symptoms I mentioned, I asked the GP for a Thyroid check.

suffering
I've been suffering from PAWS, post acute withdrawal symptoms for 3 years since I quit antidepressant. I've recovered a lot but my brain is still not ok yet. I'm tired of waiting for my recovery and and scared of wondering if my normal brain function will be back again. I need support....I'm alone

Confusing Blood Work/ Searching for Advice
No shots, no supplements; instead, I was referred to a psychiatrist and thus began the long journey of
antidepressants
, therapies, etc. that have never improved my symptoms. On my own I started taking a b12 vitamin sporadically throughout the years, but I wasn’t very consistent.

Hello. Does anyone drink alcohol while on antidepressants?
By drink I mean the occasional drink or two when going out.

New diagnosis /do i/ dont i
Caring for both my parents in an anex for a decade pushed me over the edge, and was put on
antidepressants
. This did help with some of the symptoms. After they died i tried to come off them, but the reduction in seratonin exacerbated the pain and bladder issues.

Is it time for me to go home?
I'm in the process of trying to get on
antidepressants
. I'm still trying to arrange for a therapist to meet with regularly. My sister took it upon herself to make sure that I began eating enough to start putting weight back on.

Hi everyone
I was diagnosed with depressive disorder, and prescribed
antidepressants
. I was very reluctant to go on them, but they have definately helped me get out of that black hole.

Weird Things That Helped Your Depression?
But honestly, I don’t have much hope for any sort of
antidepressants
after trying so many, and the trial is so close to the beginning still that the results aren’t very hopeful. So what did make a difference to my depression? One thing. A family vacation to Cuba last February.
