How long to feel benefit of 25mcg levothyroxine increase?
Hi please can someone tell me how long it takes for an increase of 25mcg of levothyroxine to work. I have been on 100mcg levothyroxine for many years, but I have recently piled on about 1 stone in weight & noticed issues with memory/forgetfulness, brain fog, apathy, & very bad depression. Convinced the new medication won’t work
After PPP last summer, and crushing depressive episodes for the past 7 or 8 months. My psychiatrist has switched my antidepressant from sertraline to venlafaxine. I’m just convinced it won’t work. I’ve only been taking it for 12 days which I know is early days logically, but I keep thinking it won’t

T3 for depression
Hi can anyone tell me if a consultant psychiatrist can prescribe T3 on the NHS in UK in the case of treatment resistant depression which has not responded to numerous antidepressant trials. I have an underlying thyroid issue where my T4 doesn't convert well to the active T3. I also have physical symptoms

I tried many different medication, on and off of
Antidepressants
, tried Medikinet, which helped at first, but then made me horribly nervous and didn't do much good. I am now trying Elvanse and my first day went, oh well... mixed.

I am suppose to up my 5mg antidepressant to 10 mg tomorrow. I did a week of 5 mg and survived. I am a lot nervous to up because my anxiety hates pill taking but I have been feeling better on 5 mg. Also struggling with stress induced gastritis which is feeling better as well. 2 good days so far! I

The sad part about it is, statins are generally already being prescribed to the patient before a hypothyroidism diagnosis, somewhat like the
antidepressants

18 year old struggling with ectopics (PVC’s) daily
When i originally went to my GP about it, he immediately prescribed
antidepressants
(Sertraline/Zoloft) when I had NO HISTORY that suggested I needed them. They did not address the root cause and the antidepressant made things worse. I guess I just want to know I’m not alone at this point.

Hospital again
I had 3 good days then I upped the antidepressant from 5 mg to 10 mg and crashed. I got the weirdest sensation of a warm rush going through my body and totally freaked out took ativan and it subsided and spent day at hospital. They did blood work and a mock ultrasound on my gastric issues and I have

I am 4 days into half dose of my antidepressant then I move up. I am on 80 mg of stomach stuff the knot is gone… but now bouts of severe indigestion that trigger my head. Its been a week. Has anyone had their stomach go crazy for longer then a week? I also have health anxiety. This truly is a nightmare

Does this sound like CFS? I really need help, I’m struggling.
Soon after that my mum got diagnosed with lung cancer and I went onto
antidepressants
for two years. I still felt extreme fatigue whilst on them so my thoughts are that it’s not anxiety causing the fatigue either. I’ve had all the regular blood tests done and they are okay and within range.

Thought I was figuring things out...
He says I've only ever been put on low doses of
antidepressants
and that with stronger dosing, I should feel significant mood improvements. So I've been on 200mg of sertraline (Zoloft) for 3-4 months and the only change felt there is less emotion, versus feeling better.

Dealing with my 22 yr old son ADHD and issues
He is not taking
antidepressants
(Wellbutrin) and we are in the process of getting him further help. He keeps thinking he is a failure, etc. Both his father and I have had the same issues. I am an attorney and always had focus issues.

Antidepressants and other meds
Hi all, especially Sue who I'm hoping can help. I have at last had blood tests which showed my levels were around 50, which she said wasn't that low, but I'm now on Iron 200mg a day, havibg another blood test in January. Also my sodium levels were little low so was told to use more salt on my food.

Can anyone recommend CSW, talk therapist ?
I hate taking more meds, but I had agreed to try
antidepressants
because I am at my wits end. I tried Pristiq, Vibryd, wellbutrin and lexapro, each for 6 weeks. I noticed NO change, positive or negative. My next step is to try talk therapy. and I am coming up with a lot of deadends.
