ET-The mental aspect
M52, diagnosed with ET/JAK2+ (confirmed by a BMB) a few years back as my platelet count spiked over 600k. Can anyone recommend CSW, talk therapist ?
I hate taking more meds, but I had agreed to try
antidepressants
because I am at my wits end. I tried Pristiq, Vibryd, wellbutrin and lexapro, each for 6 weeks. I noticed NO change, positive or negative. My next step is to try talk therapy. and I am coming up with a lot of deadends.

My doctor says I might have Bipolar 2 but I doubt it
I started taking
antidepressants
and anti-anxiety medication a year ago. I’ve experienced mood swings since early teens but doctors brushed it off and told me I’ll outgrow it once I’m older. I didn’t.

Worried!
I started experiencing palpitations last year and didn’t worry too much. They seemed to start after I had the Covid jab followed by Covid itself. I went to my GP several weeks ago about the palpitations. As I was taking a low dose antidepressant ( Citalopram) with a PPI, my GP arranged an ECG. In the

RLS or Akathisia or both?
I was on
antidepressants
and antipsychotics for 41 years. I tried to quit taking them in December 21 but had to go back on Zoloft at a low dose. I did quit Wellbutrin and Abilify and have been messed up ever since. I see where Abilify is strongly implicated in causing akathisia.

Advice on next steps please
Like many of us I have always suffered with anxiety and was put on
antidepressants
in my early 20s. I only take 25mg of sertraline these days but don't think it does much. I also have CPTSD from attachment trauma of that's useful to know.

Thumb Twitching with Anxiety
In 2020 My wonderful Mum died from Covid and I've been on
antidepressants
and anxiety medicine. Over the last few weeks my thumb has been twitching and getting me down. I've been told the doctor they will up the dose of the medicine in the coming weeks.

All due to TMJ?
Itried for over a year to get GPS to refer me but they kept telling me not necessarily as it was just anxiety and put me on
antidepressants
. I then started to become ill with various other problems and was always dismissed with just anxiety.

Who am I?
Taking
antidepressants
and calming medicine. Trying to figure out how to keep it together as the accident affected my focus/concentration levels making grad school life challenging. Would appreciate any guidance on what has helped/worked for others.

newly diagnosed and very confused!
I’m already on 30/500 cocodamol four times a day (for back problems) plus most of the vitamins mentioned here (thiamine, vitD, vitB) and
antidepressants
, and those keep me functional most of the time, but the pain when it comes is bad enough that those don’t even touch it, and my hands and feet tingle

Spoke to nephrologist.
I mentioned the
antidepressants
and the constant uti but he seemed to think that would be no problem. The only trouble is I can't get regular blood tests via the NHS because they don't want to pay for them - so it s every 6 months - things could go really wrong in that time and you wouldn't know.

Tricyclic antidepressants , amitriptyline in particular, delay the need for dopaminergic therapy in early Parkinson’s disease.
This observation suggested to the researchers that treatment with tricyclic
antidepressants
may delay the need to initiate dopamine therapy for Parkinson’s.

I have felt I had a learning disability all my life and someone finally listened to me and started treatment for it rather than just

which I have been on since my twenties and I am 67.

I don’t know what she will suggest I try now (probably
antidepressants
, as they have been mentioned before)but I desperately need to be able to sleep and cannot with this condition. Any suggestions what I can ask Dr for? I am in the UK so don’t think Opiods will be considered.
