Introducing myself
The first doctor I saw did some blood tests and an ecg which all came out normal, offered me
antidepressants
, which I declined, and suggested I try gradually increasing the exercise I took.

Tough sleep
I don't really know why I started sleeping so bad. I have insomnia off and on but this last one has lasted. It seem to start about the time my gerd kicked in after I stopped an antidepressant Paxel. I tried going back on but this time side affects were bad, tried 4 others with same problem. Now on

*Long Read Warning* How do you know if you’re getting better mentally?
Just need to vent, if you read this and commented thankyou, it helps getting another perspective on the situation. Male, 20 Parents went through a divorce in 2022 and it was ugly to say the least. (Mom was an alcoholic, dad was a cop and emotionally distant due to his Mexican culture and upbringing

Private care?
Hi everyone, I'm in a desperate situation which I am sure a lot of you can relate to. Quickly, my story: At 24 years old, I have had severe period pains since I started menstruating 12 years ago. Cramps in lower tummy, back, and most painfully, all down my legs, front and back. The leg pains have

Feeling purposelessness
I am just still struggling with the feeling that there really isn't any point to me being here. I go to work and then do some programming stuff but a lot of times I am just staring at my phone trying to fill the time between myself being awake and asleep. I struggle with motivation a lot. But mostly,

Fed up with meds
Also didn't realise that
antidepressants
are often given for chronic pain. I started them to help with menopause symptoms years ago (don't get me started on what menopause might be causing). I've been trying to wean myself off them but a worsening of my symptoms has stopped me.

Had anyone else had
antidepressants
with aspirin? Is aspirin essential? I guess I’m panicking as I don’t want to be depressed again. . Thanks.

Thyroid results
He thinks my crying episodes is depression and not related to thyroid and wanted to put me on
antidepressants
which I refused. I just hope my TSH will decrease on the 100mcg.

Guidance/ advice.
Amitryptaline, Duloxetin and an array of
antidepressants
. I take none now as feel 💯 worse on them. * Funally have had a review of my GP notes and now it is being said” it might be fibromyralgia.” Doing my own research I literally have all the symptoms.

Disclosing my condition to someone I like
Context: All my life I felt unworthy of love, unlovable and even if someone loved me, they are better off without me. I always had the mindset of "if not even your father could love you, how could other people love you?". This past year, the antidepressant has really helped me not 100% as medicine is

I have tried 5-6
antidepressants
,each one for a minimum of 6 wks, none made a difference in my mood. I had a sleep study test, doc did not think it was remarkable.

Recent GP visit - Thoughts please!
I've been offered
antidepressants
but not taken them. I've been on HRT (topical gel and progesterone pill) for 6 months - it's helped a bit.

Neurology
Hi everyone, I finally have my appointment with neurology 16th May .My gp is taking me off pregabalin and advising amitryptaline (excuse the spelling) I explained this was also used as an antidepressant so would aggravate my symptoms, he then got quite angry and said well there's nothing else you can
