I am wondering about my results, I was originally on 50mcg Eltroxin.
I followed all proper protocol for blood tests at 8:30am and before taking morning dose.
On 13/7/23
TSH 11.33 (0.27-4.2)
T4 1.19 (0.93-1.7)
T3 3.64 (2-4.4)
I then increased Eltroxin to 75mcg
My recent results from 28/8/23 are:
TSH 13.85
T4 1.13
T3 3.34
I have now increased to 100mcg based on this result. I am quite small too and only weigh 50kg. I am just wondering why my TSH is climbing with an increase. I haven’t been feeling great fatigue, muscle pain, some anxiety and being really sensitive I just start crying at the smallest things and then I can’t stop, it’s starting to get really frustrating. I actually felt better before I started the Eltroxin, and I am taking it first thing in morning and not eating for an hour.
I am working in Cambodia at the moment so don’t have a doctor, but I decided to try visiting one yesterday and he was no help. He thinks my crying episodes is depression and not related to thyroid and wanted to put me on antidepressants which I refused. I just hope my TSH will decrease on the 100mcg.

Yes I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s in May, my TPO count was >1300.
I also had everything tested in May
Vitamin D 35 (50-140)
Active B12 10 (>35)
Folate 17 (>7)
Ferritin 29 (15-200)
On ultrasound also had 2 suspicious nodules which were biopsied but inconclusive and need to redo next month but due to being overseas I am waiting till I am back in Australia in January.
I had an iron infusion plus b12 injections at the time.
Now in Cambodia I am taking b12, vitamin D and iron supplements.
The doctor did the celiac test but it came back negative so did the pernicious anaemia test.
As of yet I haven’t attempted to go gluten or dairy free diet, the idea of it is seems very overwhelming. Also difficult in Cambodia as there really aren’t many gluten free options, the idea of food sensitivities in Cambodians is very foreign and so it’s not catered for. But I should probably try it once I return to Australia.
I am taking the vitamins in the afternoon. But not yet taking b complex or magnesium so I should I have a look at that. The vitamin D is 1000 international units.
I was surprised about my b12 level as I have always eaten plenty of things with b12, but I think it was from being hypothyroid for so long. I thought my symptoms were pretty mild before starting meds and had just put it done to stress. It was only a check up that doctor discovered it. But yes I will probably have look at getting the injections again.
I try and eat a rich iron diet as much as I can and I don’t eat soy.
