Volterol
I just used some volterol on my knee and after ten minutes I washed it off as I looked on internet should not be used with blood thinners is this unlikely to have caused an issue

blood thinners and sprains
Quick question, a fews ago I sprained my ankle. Its brusied like a beast ( blood thinners) but also seems to be taking ages to heal. I've had knocks, sprains and bumps many a time in the past and recovered quickly, just wondering if thinners slow down recovery. Can't do any excericses or walks etc

anticoagulation and bump on head.
I have just bumped my head on the greenhouse and saw stars briefly but not cut my head nor lost consciousness. I had a sun hat on which took some of the whack but it still hurts somewhat. No cut or swelling. My question is being on rivaroxaban does whacking the head automatically require medical

Verapamil
Hello there. Quick question, I have read the literature on the tablet and posts, but can anyone tell me if Verapamil is categorised as a blood thinner. Sorry I know it’s a beta blocker but that’s calcium. I’m currently on other medication and I’m checking if they are working against each other

Blood thinner replies
Thanks for all your replies and support about my pain and blood thinners. I have stopped taking them. My oncologist has changed me from anastrozole to Veriznio, he thinks that will help with the move pain, and seems the worst side effect is diarrhea, which will appear in the first month. I’m waiting

Methotrexate and Prednisolone GPA
Hi everyone. I have been on methotrexate and prednisolone for nearly three years for Vasculitis GPA along with blood thinners and statins etc, was also on Mycophenolate for first 2 years. Fresh Transfer Advice
Hi ladies, I will be having my second EC in the next fortnight + hopefully a fresh transfer after this. Did any of you ladies take Lubion progesterone injections prior to a fresh transfer? And also blood thinners? I did these for my last failed FET but was told today these won’t be needed for a fresh

Warfarin
Has anyone experienced Warfarin failing you more than once? I have had three different instances where I had large clots in my lungs while on it. I am still on it (after my coverage from work denied paying for Framing injections - the only anticoagulant that hasn't failed me). Just wondering if this

feels like relapse following CT scan with contrast
Hi everyone, I have Graves arising post a vaccination in 2022 and exacerbated when I had covid. I went into remission a year ago but have relapses when I have a vaccination. I had to have a heart CT scan and I asked about the iodine and risks. I was assured it was fine for me to have and it would flush

Pradaxa (dabigatran)
I have just started with my afib journey (trek?). My GP told me that my best blood-thinner choices were Coumadin, Xarelto, and Eliquis. I did my research, and, right or wrong, I chose Eliquis, even knowing its expense. (I have no insurance, thus I paid a lot of money to buy my first bottle of pills

husband has recurring gout attacks at least once a month
hello I wonder if anyone can help me. My husband is having recurring gout attacks at least once a month. I wonder if this could be due to the fact he’s taking apixabhan blood thinners. He’s had a number of a/fib palpitations over the last year or so and it’s to stop strokes he’s also had cabgx3 and

MBC, blood clots and blood thinners
How many of you have been out in blood thinners? I have been on Eliquis for the past year and a half. I take anastrozole and Ibrance and got a blood clot from a flying. I have not flown since and don’t plan to at this time. Never have blood clot shown up in my scans since taking eliquis. My problem

Statins
I had a call from my GP surgery about taking statins.Apparently my cholesterol is okay but I have a 38% risk of having a stroke or heart attack. Even though I take anticoagulant statins work in a different way and are recommended for me as I am in persistent afib I do not want to take statins but wondered

Off pred
Well I've now finally come off prednisolone after 3.5 years and I found you very helpful and supportive. Unfortunately I've had to join the afib support group because just as I've finished with pred I've now had to start beta blockers and blood thinners. I think I'd rather be on Pred. One thing after

Why it’s a good idea to use your Kardia etc regularly
It’s a saga but will make it as short as possible! I have paroxysmal AF, big nuisance but I don’t usually have fast episodes any more, take Apixaban anticoagulant so I put up with it. On Friday afternoon while quietly looking at a book an episode started. As usual pretty nasty for first two hours but
