Long Covid and Breathlessness
Was hospitalised and treated with IV
antibiotics
. First time I have ever had a chest infection: I have had a cardio review and all is normal. He gave me the brown and blue inhalers to try which made a significant difference. Consultant suspects breathlessness may be related to Covid.

Update on Life, tooth infection, antibiotics and tapering.
I ended up taking more
antibiotics
so a total of 4 rounds, 1st one was too low to handle the infection/abscess. So, 3 rounds of the stronger dose and so far, knock on wood, the infection has not come back. I suspect I will eventually have to have the surgery but for now I'm good.

Round after round of steroids and
antibiotics
which work but then it comes back again. At least I don’t feel as unwell as I did but can’t understand why it keeps happening. I’ve has further tests and a ct scan and thankfully all clear but shows signs of infection mid right lung.

Any coming back from this?
Two weeks ago, he ended up in the ER due to a suspected infection; none was found but they had to run the full course of
antibiotics
. He’s being discharged tomorrow. He’s been doing better in terms of the pain after radiation. He’s also been okay on most days I’ve seen him.

Long term antibiotics
They finished on the wednesday and by Friday I was just as bad as I was before the
antibiotics
. Is anyone on
antibiotics
on a lower dose but 3 times weekly? Do they help keep infection down and make breathing easier?.

AFTER ALL THIS TIME TESTED POSITIVE!
My wife has a few lung problems and her peak flow rate has gone down so hoping Doc will prescribe something she has an emergency pack of
antibiotics
but not worth taking them as need antivirals if anything. Just hoping we don't get an infection from it and then need
antibiotics
afterwards.

Update
The day I finished
antibiotics
for the UTI, I tested positive for Covid. Spent 5 days in my hotel room. Just glad I had an ocean view room and a balcony. At the tail end of Covid I got sinusitis, which turned into another infection. I have found out it’s chronic.

Rosacea
I am on
antibiotics
- which I think have stopped working. I'm waiting to see a dermatologist. I'm usually a confident person but this rosacea is starting to make me hate myself. It's really getting me down. I can't even hide it because it's so dry sometimes.

I started feeling breathless before Christmas and was diagnosed with a chest infection but after 2 courses of
antibiotics
still had low oxygen sats. Then there were concerns I had a PE so had CT .

Erythromelalgia?
I was diagnosed with cellulitis 5 or 6 weeks ago, I’ve had 2 lots of
antibiotics
, 2 scans to make sure no blood clots, this redness has spread around my leg and is now starting in the other one. My left leg and foot are quite swollen.

Home Oxygen is a game changer
Nothing much else to report other than Covid not seeming to have left any long-term side-effects bar a bit of a chest infection immediately afterwards which was quickly nipped in the bud with
antibiotics

Update on cabazitaxel
I started chemo with cabazitaxel on July 3 here in Nicosia, Cyprus, where I live. PSA at the start was 83. It fell to 61 after the first treatment, and way down to 20 after the second on July 24. The third treatment was yesterday, July 14. I had chemo with docetaxel in 2022, when PSA fell from

biopsy for DH
She decided to do biopsy there & then - so now awaiting results & I’ve been put on
antibiotics
for next 6 weeks - when next appt is. What I wasn’t told is how pain full my arm would be after the anesthetic wore off🫣🫣 but hopefully will be worth it if I get a definate diagnosis.

Giving her Benadryl,
antibiotics
and cough syrup medicine. She’s doing a little better this morning, poor little girl 🥺. She’s a huge part of my life 🥰. My foot is almost healed on the bottom and now it’s Pt time for surgery on toes. Hope everyone is doing well 🙏👍🏼😉

Root Canal/steroids/antibiotics-avoid?
I really really want to avoid any more
antibiotics
as the Thrush was worse than the infection! i realise no one will know if I should have this done, I’m just asking generally. Thanks

A fib
Had a severe case of sepsis which effected my heart with the massive doses of
antibiotics
, made it go into afib. They kept dosing me with various drugs trying to slow it down resorting to belladonna very scary. Have come out of hospital and left on beta blockers and apixaban.
