7 eggs collected!
Just back from my egg collection. After only getting 1 egg last time and with a low AMH im floored that we got 7 this time. I took DHEA for nearly 4 months so lets hope the quality is better too. And my DH's sample was good, so good they almost didnt do ICSI but im happy they were cautious and did it

A role for inflammation
Yet another idea holds that that intestinal inflammation, possibly from gut microbes, could give rise to Parkinson’s disease. The latest evidence supporting this idea comes from a large epidemiological study, in which Inga Peter, a genetic epidemiologist at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

Starting on my IVF journey in 2 weeks... suggestions to improve my chances
Hi all lovely ladies, I have been around for a while now but it's about time I come out about my own struggles and seek help. After having failed 2 IUI rounds (though there wasn't any anomaly in the SA) we've finally decided to move onto IVF... starting 9th of December. Though I've spent a copious amount

Has anyone had a flare following the FluAD vaccine?
Hi everyone, I've just rejoined the forum after many years' absence, primarily to find out people's experiences after receiving the adjuvanted trivalent flu vaccine (FluAD) given to over 65s. I don't normally have any adverse reaction to vaccines but I have started to have a recurrence of symptoms (

Success with low amh?
Was just wondering if anyone has any success stories with a low amh. My ovarian reserve has evidently been effected from surgery to remove endometriomas back in December last year and has plummeted to 2.0. Has anyone had any success with either conceiving (natural or ivf) with low amh and has anyone

Help
Hi I've recently been diagnosed with low AMH, not extremely low but half what it should be for my age (29) my doctor said. 6.3 was my reading. My clinic suggested I try three cycles of iui before IVF as less cost etc. I'm just worri d it won't work as I've read it has low success. Has anybody been successful

My update
Hi ladies, I haven’t posted in a while, been very busy with appointments. I last spoke about my laparoscopy and things.. it’s been roughly 18 months since then. At first after a catch up with my consultant, he suggested having zoladex to stop the regrowing of endometriosis - , so he did an AMH test

IUI after IVF
Its been a while since I’ve been on here so I hope everyone is well. I needed a break from all things fertility after our third failed cycle over the summer. We’ve had some time out to be ourselves, go on holiday and have fun. It has been a relief not to think about fertility every waking hour. We’ve

link between super fitness and obesity
Just read 'The haywire heart' by Chris Case ,John MandrolaMD and Lennard Zinn, a book which I found to be quite fascinating. It is aimed at Super athletes but it contains a lot of well reasoned information and advice on dealing with Afib, and compares the super fit with other sufferers and ordinary

What does remission mean (to you?)
Hi I'm new here and have had RA for the past year. I've been on NSAIDS, steroids, DMARDS, failed, so now also on benepali. Being on so many meds has made me think about whether any of these will eventually work and how that will look. I'm just curious about what the outcome has been for you all in general

Long protocol - should I try it?
Hi all So had baseline scan on Wed, endometrium too thick again this month indicating an abnormal cycle. Oestradiol too high again, bascically I gave geriatric ovaries. It’s hopeless trying with my eggs. But I still have NHS funding left as I was given a second set of funding after they made an error

RA, Gluten and Leaky Gut
I’m so very confused! I was diagnosed with RA and was given Naproxen (despite being given this before and no effect, they didnt listen to me) I’ve been asked to go on a gluten free diet, as Gluten may be my trigger. But does Naproxen has gluten in? Not only that, I have 9/10 symptoms of leaky gut..

Egg collection Friday, high risk of OHSS
Hi ladies, I really enjoy watching everyone’s journeys. It’s especially wonderful to see quite a few of you are within a couple weeks of me along this process. As many of you know, this is my first IVF cycle and it’s so helpful to feel like I’m going through it with friends. My scan went great this

On the fertility journey.
Trying to convince from over 5 years. Currently undergoing IVF at the age of 43 with low AMH. Has anyone conceived after 43 with low ovarian reserve?

IVF with PGD
Hi We are due to start IVF with PGD in January. We have had two babies naturally but our second died at 3 months old from a genetic condition called SMA type 1 last year. We have tried to conceive naturally for over a year with no luck so now going down the IVF route but with PGD to take the faulty gene

Hot flushes and infertility.. Any advice?
Hi everyone, I’ve been quiet for some time. I’ve just found out my FET failed today, we had a 6 day embryo (hatching- grade 5AB). I’ll try and keep it brief, we started our journey nearly 6 years ago. I didn’t ovulate regularly and started on clomid which I reacted too so after 3 months transferred to
