Trying to convince from over 5 years. Currently undergoing IVF at the age of 43 with low AMH. Has anyone conceived after 43 with low ovarian reserve?

Hi 10Hope. I was 44 when I started my IVF journey with my DH. I have forgotten what my AMH was but it wasn't great and my BMI was/is 30/31. We now have 9 frozen embryos waiting to go back in. Just wanted to give you what encouragement I can...never to give up. Good luck on your journey.

I am 43.5 yo. Had successful icsi 3 years ago resulting in ds. Now back trying for a sibling. First round of icsi resulted in 9 follicles. 3 immature. 3 didn't fertilise. 3 blastocysts. 1 made it to day 6 = sent in for genetic testing and came back with monosmy 11 and monosmy 21.

Due for the next round in January - although my amazing fertility expert tried his best to talk me out of it, saying my chances are only 10%...

Good luck to us :-)

Hey lovely I’m 43 with and amh of 0.3!! Very low was advised not to try myself but to go for donor eggs. Even if I got eggs tghe quality would not get great and the outcome even lower. At the moment I’m nearly 10wks with donor eggs. It was a really upsetting time finding my amh low and difficult making a choice but we didn’t have the funds to try myself and then donor eggs so went with advice. Good luck xxx

Thats great good luck to you too. I am not quite there yet, going with donor egg, but might be something to consider if I hit a brick wall. It is not easy to make that decision. Good for you I am glad it worked for you.
