Hello. I was diagnosed about a year ago with stage 4 prostate cancer. I was on hormone therapy but that is no longer surprising the cancer. It is in my bones, currently spreading in my pelvic bone and lumbar. I hope to start chemotherapy in the next month. But with my current health I don’t know

ADT and creativity
I am a composer. Since I had ADT (Eligard - last shot in early April) I have experienced the conventional side effects - hot flashes, larger breasts, shrunken penis, no libido, tiredness. I am hoping those diminish over time. My question is to those who are occupational "creatives" - artists, writers

Looking for any Info for Recent PC Diagnosis
I’m a 62 year old, recently diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. I’ve been on hormone therapy for 2 weeks and see my oncologist in a week. My PC seems to be aggressive and my PSA is off the charts 885! I would love any positive info I can get.

Dosage question.
I was diagnosed with Graves and overactive thyroid forty four years ago. I had a thyroidectomy and started on synthetic thyroid hormone therapy. I’m 69 now and take 100 mcg of Levothyroxine daily, my TSH is 0.291, low. What dose should I be taking?

Non-adt prostate cancer treatment
I was recently diagnosed with stage 3, non-metastatic prostate cancer: Gleason score 7 (half 3/4, half 4/3). I have had both hips previously replaced. I recently had three stents inputted. I don't like the feel and taste of androgen replacement therapy. Does anyone know of a legitimate entity

Good evening everyone, I’m new to this forum. My somewhat depressing story is in my bio. Anyone had a similar diagnosis that’s further down the line and can offer any encouragement? To scan or not to scan, that is the question.
I've had my two years on ADT, and now I'm 6 months into my "vacation" (iADT) PSA has hit 2.0, and the plan is to restart ADT when it hits 5.0. Assuming there are no complications, I'm okay with that plan. Also assuming there are no complications, my MO says we won't be doing a PSMA scan, or any radiation

What does ‘neuroendocrine differentiation' mean in metastatic prostate cancer?
My 71 year old dad has been diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer with neuroendocrine differentiation - he had absolutely zero symptoms until a lymph node on his neck swelled up. It’s metastasised to his lower spine and sternum too. He’s just had his oncology appointment today and they’re going to

Dealing with the Anxiety and Depression From Cancer
There recently was an excellent discussion about the how to overcome anxiety and depression caused by this cancer. It seemed to focus on the use of medicines and some herbal solutions. While I have no issue with that approach I was going to attach my comments to that thread and had second thoughts for

Old Guy Update
I was diagnosed in November 2020 with stage 4 Ductal adenocarcinoma of the prostate. I had EBRT and 24 months of ADT which was terminated in October of 2022. My PSA at that time was undetectable and my Testosterone was also undetectable. It’s now July 2024, and my PSA is 0.2 and my Testosterone is 10
