Androgel for bipolar androgen therapy
Androgel
(I use cernos) at 150 mg/day gets my testosterone up to 1598 ng/dl. Half-life is less than a day. So clears very fast compared to injectable esters (even propionate). I had to do a mass spectrometry test to get my actual T value.

Is Pluvicto worth pursuing?
Diagnosed April 2021, original PSA 19.59. Gleason Grade 4 + 4, oligometastatic with mets to ribs. Started ADT with Firmagon April, 2021, and Xtandi May, 2021. Didn't tolerate ADT well with extreme fatigue, weight loss, muscle loss, food tastes bad, chronic sinus inflammation. PSMA PET scan in March

Change in orgasm feeling after PCa treatment?
Gents, Curious: are you able to orgasm after PCa treatment? If so, is the feeling different than pre-treatment? How is it different? I had IMRT, ADT, and brachyboost. Definitely different for me pre/post- treatment. Sensation is not as intense now. Location of pleasure seems to be more concentrated

Endo - struggling with hormonal contraception as a treatment
Hi, I’m really hoping someone can offer help/ experience of what to do when you cannot tolerate hormonal contraception as an endo treatment. I’ve had to give up on the idea of having any more children, we tried for a long time and nothing happened, even after I had endo treated in a laparoscopy. My

Will Medicare pay for ADT treatment?
I’m 62 and still working with good insurance. I recently started Lupron and Zytiga. I plan on retiring at 65. Will Medicare pick up the cost for that treatment? Thanks

Relevant study comparing RP patients to men who choose watch and wait ? High quality studies?
It seems that most people would want to undergo a particular medical procedure only if there were proven benefits when compared to doing nothing and waiting for additional symptoms to appear before then moving ahead with medical treatments. With that in mind, while doing a search for something else PCa

actual castration instead of ADT
I’m just throwing this out for discussion. I’m 62 in good over shape and recently started Lupron and Zytiga. I am told I will be on these or some form of ADT for the rest of my life. Since the goal is to eliminate testosterone wouldn’t it make sense to remove the source of it? By doing so one could

Short Term or Long(er) Term ADT With Salvage RT
Hi all, Need thoughts on whether my physician is on the right track recommending only 6 months of ADT (Lupron). I'm early 60s and very fit. Just completed salvage radiation to PB and PLN and 6-month Lupron shot. Radiation therapy began 6 months following RALP. Happy to get off ADT (usual side effects

24 Months of Eligard Comes to an End
I’ve been having Eligard injections every six months for the last two years. In October my Oncologist wants to stop the treatment. My last two blood tests over a 12 month period showed my PSA at <0.1 and my Testosterone at 0.4. My blood test last week again showed a PSA reading of <0.1 and Testosterone

Hi, thank you for letting my husband and I join in… As I am trying to find information on how to deal with my husband’s sever plaque psoriasis, awful psoriasis flares after docetaxel chemotherapy infusion treatments and high glucose levels/numbers that seem to coincide with these extreme psoriasis flares

Thanks to the community for taking out time and embarking on knowledge and empowerment for patients and families who are struggling to survive this testing disease. My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer (Azure) in 2019. His Gleason score was 9 (5+4) and PSA was > 100 (Machine Limitations). Now

From the dark mind of CarlosBach…
Here are some abbreviations and accronyms that I think should be added to our list: ADT - Amputated Damn Testicles. I miss my ADT. AE- Alpha Eunuch. Don’t mess with him, he thinks he’s the AE around here. ANK - Alive ‘N Kicking. He’s been through a lot, but he’s still ANK.
