Semaglutide as an Answer for ADT Fat Gain & Obesity
The gift of ADT (androgen deprivation) for advanced prostate cancer is a longer life. The harms caused by that same ADT are myriad and have been well discussed here. Included in those range of effects from very low testosterone is a powerful tendency to put on body fat. And to lose muscle mass and strength

Hormone sensitive after stopping Lupron?
If I stop ADT after 30 mo and my Testosterone stays at castrate level for 6mo, is this effectively the same as if I had 36 months of ADT?

One year into my ADT break, CT scan has shown disease progression in my lymph node metastasis. I was scheduled to have Lupron shot on July 6. Unfortunately, my wife tested positive for Covid 19 soon after our return from London. On the plane nobody, except us, was wearing mask. I am still negative.

Counteracting the negative effects of ADT on the CV system?
I’m 66. I started Orgovyx in Oct. of ‘21, then completed sbrt in Nov.. My MO wants me on adt for 2 yrs.. That’s fine as I’ve tolerated the physical effects pretty well. I exercise regularly (walking ever day, weights every other day). But, my bloodwork is coming back with high triglycerides & cholesterol

Neck Surgery to support tumour eaten C3 to stabilize neck.
PSA 0.08. But MRI and CT showed C3 being eaten by C3 tumour June 15th 2022. MRI good with no apparent erosion of C3 in Jan 2022. So had emergency neck surgery to support C3. Put rods and screws from skull to C7 to support C3 above and below..Cut out about half of C3 tumour ( peeled some off spinal

ADT Vacation - Final Update
I had the appointment with my RO to go over my PSMA scan to determine if additional RT is warranted. To review, I’ve been on an ADT vacation for almost a year. Prior to that I had 20 rounds of RT and was on ADT for about 18 months after the RT before the vacation started. This is my second vacation.

UCSF PSMA PET Update Location of Recurrence Low PSA
An update on PSMA PET with good information on how it works and why its so accurate when compared to other imaging modalities. Also, patients with low PSA of 2.0 and below can be scanned. For this group 30% of tumors would have been missed had they received RT (IMRT) with only normal imaging (bone,

Effects of ADT
I've read many threads on here discussing the side effects of ADT. In each thread there seem to be comments from men who suffer devastating side effects and those who suffer very few. My question is has there been any research (biological and/ or psychological) done to try to predict how ADT might affect

Denosumab if bone strength increasing on ADT?
Hi everyone, my father was diagnosed with Stage 4 PCa last year (multiple bone mets). He has responded well to ADT so far with PSA dropping from 500 to 0.65 in 14 months and corresponding decrease in PSMA avidity seen in scans. At the time of his diagnosis he was advised Denosumab because a Dexa scan

Now on ADT, what to add?
I found out in October last year that I had several tumours in my spine, one in my rib and some in the lymph nodes that run up the middle/left side of my back. As the bone and CT scans in March showed them getting larger and my PSA around 18.5, I went on ADT (Lucrin-depot). My medical oncologist is

Lu-PSMA-J591 Treatment Follow Up, 8 Weeks Out
I have received several inquiries about the early results from my experimental treatments with the alternative Lu177 radioligand, J591, in Perth. See my previous posts about the treatments which took place on May 13th and 27th. (Duplicated from a post on APC for my friends here on FPC) As previously

PSA and Labs Interval Change
After 13 months on ADT +Zytiga and another 12 months post H DR Brachytherapy followed by EBRT my MO says my PSA and labs are stable and we can go from monthly testing to every 3 months. My PSA has been around 0.11 until this month when it was .08., I’m glad for the extended testing but anxious as well
