Just been diagnosed with Hashimoto's and quite a good positive she said 1260.
Hi All Just wanted to thank everyone for the amazing advice on this group. As I explained before I've had vertigo/dizziness and lots of other symptoms for nearly 2 years now. With loads of advice from this page with regards getting private blood tests done, pushing my Gp even though they said I do

Feeling pathetic...
Sitting at the hospital in the midst of a synacthen test and feeling sorry for myself. So I thought I'd vent on here to a group of lovely folk who understand what it's like to appear normal on the outside but struggling on the inside! Like most on here I hate having to admit I can't do what I used to

Lab Cut Backs (blood testing)!
I've read on here numerous times about people being refused T3 tests because "we're not allowed to test that any more" etc etc. Clearly appalling when trying to get a full picture of what's going on with your thyroid. I've just spoken to the GP about some other blood tests I'm having done tomorrow (

Levothyroxine stopped postpartum
Hi all, new here 👋December 2022 I was feeling pretty rubbish, really low mood, spaced out and just generally unwell. I went to my GP and my bloods came back borderline underactive. In February I found out I was pregnant, during routine bloods I had a phonecall from the hospital saying I needed to

Advice on recent blood tests
I've included the last three sets of blood tests, all done at the same lab, fasting in the morning. Question is whether an increase in T3 is warranted. My new Endo thinks I can go from 15mcg to 20mcg which will help with my fatigue. I have been on 15mcg for a few years and was doing well, but fatigue

Why all going wrong always with me 😭
Today is my 10dpt of 5dt. Did the urine pregnancy test and showed up negative😭. I used the strips that can measure hcg more than 25u/ml. Not sure whether hcg quantity was there to detect or I’m not pregnant. But this time I was confident the way my symptoms showed up and expected the implantation

BFN confirmed advice please 🙁
I persevered in hope after my BFN last Sunday thinking it was too early and did another 3 days of tabs and pessaries to take me through to the full 14 days but did a blood test pregnancy test today and still shows BFN so that’s our third icsi round over for us. Not sure if the doc will be able to shed

High Leukocytes in urine
So blood tests have come back as above and I have a feeling this has been going on for some time, but not actually had a urine sample test in the past few years. In fact the only urine test was because of discharge from vagina, thought to be thrush which is now being treated. So thrush can cause

time to try T3
Hypothyroid - 20 years always on T4 but same brand Mercury Pharma, currently taking 150mcg. Like everyone I private test to get T3 T4 have paid in the past to see private endocrinologists and am reasonably well informed (mainly through this forum). I don’t suffer as badly as many people do but maybe

T3 Trial continued
Medichecks 20 March 2024 History:
Hypothyroid (after RAI in c2004)
Spent 2023 improving folate, B12, Vit D although ferritin still poor. Came off PPIs and now take Gaviscon twice daily. Gastritis issues ongoing though. Officially a poor converter (dud DIO2) so really wanted to try T3 Gluten

Dana Farber 2nd opinion?
I just got back my PET/CT results from yesterday. Bad! I have never had so much progression. Little spots, some new, some growing from last time, mostly in thoracic and lung area. Apparently, ribociclib (Kisqali) + exemestane didn't work at all. That is the last of the CDK4/6 inhibitors and ER inhibitors

Berberine and iron?
Hi, So glad to have found this wonderful forum! I am a 74 year female who recently started taking pregabalin for RLS. I just got back my ferritin level and it is 12. I will order some iron and would like to know how many mg is a good dose. Also, I started taking niacin 500mg daily for my cholesterol
