Negative ANA Test

My ANA was negative but asking biopsy was positive for interface dermatitis ???? the skin doctor said possibly cutaneous lupus. Is it possible to have it on skin only and not in the blood?

How to prepare for Rheumatology Appointment

I've been referred because a recurrent miscarriage clinic picked up a positive ANA test- the repeat test was also positive (a weak positive.) I have struggled with joint pain for the past few years in my hips/ SI joint primarily, which was originally put down to my severe endometriosis.

Within the past year I've been experiencing fatigue, burning muscle and joint aches, skin rashes, hives, hair loss, weight loss, easy bruising, dry mouth, dry eyes, swollen glands etc I recently had an ANA test which came back positive at 1:320 titre with homogenous and speckled pattern.

ANA question

Hello, I hope you don't mind me butting in, but I'm trying to understand my ANA test result and this seemed like the best place to ask! I was just wondering if anyone could help me in decoding? I had an ANA test last week which has come back positive, with a titre of 1/1280.

ANA positive patients needed for a new research study

We will start by reviewing what is known about the problems patients with ANA-positive test results experience. Then, using these findings we will research a database of GP records to compare patients with ANA-positive test results to those without.

Awaiting diagnosis (fibromyalgia)

I’ve recently had a letter saying I’ve had a weakly Positive ANA blood test result with an anticentromere pattern. Does anyone know what this means. I’ve not got my appointment until 24th December when I go back to see the rheumatologist.

Positive ANA speckled test - MCAS

I was diagnosed with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome earlier this year but the treatment hasn’t helped much. I have weekly bladder instillations and have been on antibiotics since Feb. I had a cystoscopy which showed biofilm in the bladder. I also have gastro issues and sensitivity to food - MCAS diet

Hi I am new here, I was just referred to a Rheumatologist because my rhfactor came back at 32 and my ana test was 320 but all other tests were normal. Is this similar to anyone else? My doctor thinks I have rheumatoid arthritis

Inflammatory markers - auto immune?

Just wondering if anyone has had a positive ANA test as a result of PRD ie proctitis, colitis etc? My gp has recalled me to discuss this result and I'm a bit freaked out as I've been feeling awful.

ANA negative but tested positive for LA and smooth muscle antibodies

It’s upset me that’s it’s all taken so long and the more I read there’s no much controversy around the ana test. If hadn’t been for my own gp finally sending away specialised bloods I will have just kept test negative for ana. Has anyone had similar experience or words of advice?

Thyroid Function Tests

Hello, I got a ANA blood test in Nov/Dec, as I wanted to get the ball rolling with a long term health concern (not thyroid). Unknown to myself, a TPO was also included in this test, which came back at >500.

Elf score

test was raised to moderate and they said if elf was raised with that would need a scan but are saying 10.1 not raised ana might be other reasons, so I.

Advice on talking to rheumatologist

Since February, I’ve been suffering with weird blisters on my fingers, was initially treated for shingles, then raynauds, referred to rheumatologist after positive ANA test and with rash on face.

ANA test result?

My daughter has had a negative ANA test but it says underneath Cytoplasmic staining. Ive obv looked this up on google and am now highly concerned. I can't get hold of a doctor to explain this and can't stop worrying. Does anyone know what this means and hopefully put my mind at rest?
