ANA test

Hi all, 6 months ago my ANA test result was 1:2560 and the same test result last week was 1:320. This seems like a massive difference / improvement to my untrained brain but my rheumatologist was very vague about it. Can anyone shed any light on what it means? Thanks

Told her I'm fed up of this hurting everyday, just come out a 3 week bad flare of horrendous joint pain, mouth ulcers, sores in my nose, positive ana test.. Horrendous tiredness sleeping, I said I'm just supposed to feel like I'm dying everyday then? She said aww sorry 😞😞😣😩😩

hi I’ve just been diagnosed with lupus via positive ANA test ! Only symptoms are the sun burning my neck and chest and my glands swell !! No medication given at the moment as I don’t have any other symptoms? Is there medication for this sun allergy ??? Thank you for any help !!!

My results are back on the NHS app with a lab comment of ‘positive, ANA titre = 80’ with a further test for serum ANA pattern as ‘speckled’ yet HCP comment is ‘normal, no further action required’. Does anyone have any experience or advice please? Thank you in advance.

I have had one positive ana test ,three months later had another one that was negative?I have a rash on my cheeks &nose & forehead, pain in my hands& fingers &toes feels like frostbite, my legs feel really heavy, pain in my stomach & chest pain, sensitive to sunlight & bright lights.

My Drs didn’t seem to want to do much after that apart from give me iron tablets but I looked into it (as never having heard of it) and asked for the ANA test, this came back positive 1:640 titre with centromere pattern so was referred to a rheumatologist.

He as run ANA and ENA blood test. ANA positive for Centromere as always, but no ENA positive so my question is does anybody have a sjogrens diagnosis with just a centromere positive antibodies ?

I have all the usual symptoms of Lupus with a negative ANA test. I've been ill for the past 5/6 years to the point that I had pneumonia so bad they thought I had cancer and removed the upper lobe of my lung.

Blood work was done— ANA test came back negative with no inflammatory markers in the blood work. However, I still have concerns for something cutaneous. Doctors don’t seem to think it’s lupus but I feel like I’m doing more work then them lately to get to bottom of this.

I have been told they cannot deduce what disease I have as the ANA test does not make a shape that matches anything so rheumatology suggests that I will develop lupus OR I have a brand new disease.

I had private test done because been suffering with raynolds symptons for over 39 years but gp wont diagnose me. My symptons where getting really bad. The did test and said every thing came bk normal. Has private blood test done it shows my titre level high 1:5290. Am just worried my gp wont knowlegde

But I guess I'm trying to figure out do I ask to see a specialist or for an ana test or both?? Any advice/help gratefully received Thank you

My drs think it’s lupus I have so many of the symptoms but my ana test was negative. My kidney function test was satisfactory. . so the rheumatologist wanted me to have x rays for my wrist pain. Awaity results. This week Iv started to feel very unwell again kidney pain!

I saw a physiotherapist who requested a blood sample from my GP to test for some possible inflammation. I was ANA positive but ENA negative.

I have had umpteen tests and scans all coming back normal, bar a positive ANA test in June that didn't point to anything specific. Other than that, only my thyroid stuff had been out - unfortunately T3 wasn't tested until I started reading this forum and requested it.

When tested I proved to have a ‘weak positive ANA test’. What, if anything does that mean?

Constantly have slightly positive ANA test. I’m with rheumatology, immunology and waiting to hear back from dermatology. Rheumatology kinder tried to brush me off didn’t really want take responsibility for me.

The ANA test result picked up speckling on my Hep-2. I was not given this test result for over 10 months. It was found by myself whilst going through a pile of results printed out for me by accident by the deputy manager of my primary care centre.

He also tested negative for ANA test twice now. Everyone is telling me to stay calm but I just can’t. the rash started out as bright red blotches. Over the past couple of weeks the Marks dried out a little bit and started to blend and look something like this (see attached photo).
