Warning about Methotrexate taken with Amoxicillin
Hello everyone. I just wanted to share some information with everyone that I learned the hard way. Methotrexate and high doses of Amoxicillin should not be taken together because the Amoxicillin can increase the side effects of the Methotrexate. My pharmacist should have alerted me to the interaction

Tooth decay
I will get my third infusion of Rituxan and bendamustine next week. Went to the dentist yesterday for a clean and a checkup. He found five cavities! My teeth are normally good and usually have nothing to report after a dental visit. My dentist told me that tooth decay is a typical side effect of chemo

Chest infections
Just had two weeks on amoxicillin, still coughing, two weeks on co-trimoxadole, cough getting worse, now on Clarithromycin 500 mg with 30 mg prednisolene once a day (and the side effects are kicking in). Of course it is better than the alternative but feel like a threshold has been crossed. Does this

Prednisolone and painkillers?
I've been put on pred and amoxicillin this weekend for a flare up caused by a chest infection. What painkillers is it ok to take? I've normally no problems with ibuprofen or paracetamol.

Steroids - to take or not to take
I've had asthma for a few years, it started after a viral chest infection. I'm on symbicort SMART 200/6 2 puffs twice a day, plus 10g montelukast. A couple of weeks ago I got a bad cold, which immediately affected my chest. As soon as the cold started I went up to 2 puffs of symbicort 3 times a day,

9 weeks GBS
Hi, I'm 9 weeks pregnant and my urine shows I have Gbs, I had a group b strep infection a few months before I fell pregnant but thought this was sorted after taking antibiotics for it. My concern is if I still had this GBS infection at the time I conceived does that mean my baby will already be infected

At Her Majesty's Pleasure . . .
Just a quick update on my incarceration. I'm still on heavy duty antibiotics, Amoxicillin and Clucloxicillin every three hours round the clock, although my Picc line had to be taken out a couple of days ago due to a clot at the heart end. This info was delivered very casually and didn't seem to be giving

Advice on taking Amoxicillin for tooth abscess while on levothyroxine
Hi, I usually take my levothyroxine at 7am. Today I've been prescribed Amoxicillin to take three times a day for an abscess under a root canal tooth. How long should I leave after my levo dose before I take this. Also could anyone advise a good pro biotic to also take? I have to go back to have further

Tiredness
Hi all, I've posted before, I'm due a liver scan tomorrow after suffering what may be a bad reaction to Co-Amoxiclav. My jaundice has almost gone and my wee is back to normal Could. My itch is still there a tiny bit at night but no where near as bad. The last bloods over a week ago show improvement.

15 weeks GBS postive
Hi there, went in last week because I felt like I had a UTI so they gave me microbeds and said they'd send my urine for a culture. Then they called and switched my antibiotic to amoxicillin. When I saw my doctor today she let me know that I am GBS positive. She said not to lose sleep over it, because
