Emergency dentist
Hi all Well I went to the emergency dentist. Apparently I have an abscess under the tooth and it's oozing when he touches it. It's also making the tooth move a bit hence the pain eating He's prescribed antibiotics, just amoxicillin 500 3 x a day. He's told me once the infection had gone find a dentist

I am miffed!!
I have yet another chest infection - this time it merited the paramedics who were brilliant. It seems now this will get worse unless I am on my rescues permanently. I have been bringing loads of blood stained sputum. The GP has been informed and I am for another chest X-ray. What bothers me is

Waiting for diagnosis
Hi there I'm new here so this is probably going to be very long winded. A month ago I started coughing then it gradually got worse and I was waking up at night coughing (about 8 times) and was struggling to breathe and retching, I had a really bad pain in my ribs just under my breasts. I ended up at

Do you think I could be pregnant?
My period has never really been regular and it always changes from how long it lasts or when it decides to come. I had my usual period pains a few days ago that I normally get when I'm going to come on, and I know that a lot of people say that period pains are similar to pregnancy symptoms, but I know

Had non stop problems since November, bronchitus, astma, humid work conditions
Hey, I've always had asthma but it now feels out of control. In November, I became ill. It started with a temperature and I developed a chesty cough. I thought it would go and saw a doctor after two weeks. I also lost my voice. He told me I had laryngitis, he prescribed amoxicillin and a medical mouthwash

Antibiotics Prescribed plus increase in medication
I saw the doctor today and she prescribed amoxicillin but has asked me to hold off on them till I've upped my ventolin to 5 puffs, 4 times a day to use with my aerochamber. I'm to also continue with symbicort - 2 puffs morning and night. She's prescribed some more Prednisolone to keep in reserve if

Sharp pain when breathing
Hi all just looking for a little advice please. Started off with a chest infection at the beginning of December that just won't shift. Been to the doctors three times now, last time I had a sharp pain in my left shoulder when breathing which was diagnosed as pleurisy and was given amoxicillin. This didn't

Hi. I'm totally new to this community and forum. This is my first post on here. Maybe this long detailed account of my experience this week, might help some other asthmatic who is or will be going through a similar thing and is feeling worried and scared. I've had a lousy week with my asthma and feeling

hello again everyone , I last got in touch when I was first diagnosed with mild copd , I am not on preventative inhaler as it made me cough even more, so I'm just on an easy breath inhaler which a the moment does help me when I use it , but I'm looking for reassurance I suppose as I was given an emergency

Asthma exacerabation
So I've had a really nasty virus which has gone onto my chest. I feel awful I'm needing 4-10 puffs 2-4 hourly. I went to the doctors today and I've been prescribed 40mg of prednisolone for 5 days and amoxicillin for 5 days. Is there anything I can do to make me feel better. I'm scared to go to sleep

Suffering with chest problems for three months.
Hi I'm new here but have been following post for the last couple of months. Basically I have been using a ventoline for about 30 years. I've never had an asthma attack or anything like that I just get a bit tight chested and wheezy every now and then so I use to use the inhaler about 1 puff 3 to 5 times

Warfarin and Antibiotics
I am on warfarin because of my AF and my GP has prescribed 3 separate courses of Amoxicillin to try and get ride of my chest infection that I have had for about 8 weeks. After 2 clots were removed from a lung 13 years ago I've never been able to walk as far as I could and seemed to have a permanent chest infection . Several months ago I asked for some advice on what to do. I was advised to ask to see a specialist. After what can only be described as a heated debate

Hi I am in the 10th week of 12 week treatment with Ribavirin, Exviera and Viekirax. Had the usual side effects at various times (rash, mouth ulcers, nausea, tiredness etc) BUT the major problem I have had is that a pelvic (and later associated blader) infection leapt in at week 6 and ever since I have

Pains in my head
I have been having sharp pains on and off for a while. Thinking it is my sinuses, went on amoxicillin on it 3 days now. Still getting pain but not as bad. It is not a steady headache. Just shooting pain at times. Can it be sinuses or should I be worried? I feel fine otherwise, appetite OK and sleeping
