How to stop coughing
Hello all, I urgently need to stop coughing! I'm about to start a new job, and I don't want to look sick. A week ago I finished a week of Ammoxicillin (+pred) for a nasty chest infection. I'm still coughing a lot, but I don't think enough to warrant breaking into my emergency co-amoxiclav (Augmentin

recent admission - now frightened and need advice.
Hello all, this is my first post. Last week i developed a cold which quickly spread to my chest. I have had many chest infections and Prednisolone always does trick straight away - not this time. After a day on the tablets and regular Salbutamol i was so breathless i rang NHS direct and they advised

My asthma is getting worse and getting me down!
I am a 46 year old male, diagnosed with asthma just over 3 years ago. Up until the last few months it has been mild only requiring 2 brown pump dosages a day. But the last few months it has got worse and I have had a chest infection which has exacerbated my asthma a lot. I have been on steroids (prednisolone

Generally poor asthma at the mo - anyone else having issues?
Hi, I am new to this so excuse me if I waffle on! I am 25 and been suffering with breathing problems and asthma since I was a few weeks old. I was diagnosed several years ago as having brittle asthma. When I am well, I can be really well and have several weeks with no symptoms or very few, but when

Alternative to singulair for night time symptoms
Hi folks, my first time on here , so nice to meet you all. I'm a 41 year old woman and my asthma was only diagnosed in Sept 2010, so it's been a rough few months trying to get on top of the medication. Since Jan thought had cracked it, when I started on Singulair 10mgs daily, Symbicort 400-2 puffs twice

The Dreaded Manflu
I’ve escaped! Well, for a short while, whilst we enjoy a lovely Christmas dinner with the in-laws. Yesterday was my 37th birthday which the walking manflu didn’t realise until 3.15, no card, no present, (no Christmas present either) this has been an on-going problem since 2003 not just a manflu hic-up
