GnRH Injections & Mirena Coil
I already take
Amitriptyline
30mg ON & she has said I can increased to 40mg & then 50mg if I need too. I also have the Mirena Coil (I had this replaced during surgery so have had one non stop for 7 years now and I don't bleed whatsoever).

Coming off Amitriptyline
I have been on
amitriptyline
for the past 12 years to help with fibro and insomnia. My dose was 10 mgs. I have never felt well. Always groggy but put up with it as I had tried a lot of other drugs but could not tolerate them.

Carbimazole / Shingles / Amitriptyline
Doctor suggested
Amitriptyline
for nerve pain. I know it can be used for migraines & I’ve issues with being stuck on propranolol for migraines. I asked Doctor if could cause same issue & doctor just said see how I go & can try later if necessary. Any thoughts or advice welcome.

Newly Diagnosed
I have been put on
Amitriptyline
. Is anyone else taking it? Does it help and how long does it take to feel any benefit? If you read the leaflet it makes you wonder how it ever would. Thanks in advance for any answers.

Christmas carols and earplugs -update
The doctor has increased the
amitriptyline
that I take to see if that helps with the anxiety. I explained what I thought had made the tinnitus worse but he did not think that would happen.?

Does anyone have experience with Candesartan to prevent tension headaches?
After 10 months of successfully preventing tension headaches with
amitriptyline
, this is no longer working and the constant headache is back. GP has suggested 4mg of Candesartan to be increased to 8mg if there is no improvement.

Update to anyone interested
They've tried me on two fibromyalgia pills (antidepressents which supposedly also help nerve pain) - Gabapentin and Duloxetine (having previously tried me on
Amitriptyline
). Gabapentin had no effect on me except making me very sleepy. At least I had a few good nights' sleep.

Herniated/Buldged disk?
I am currently on 10mg a night of
amitriptyline
. I know people mention nerve pain often with herniated disks but isn't that a sharp feeling of pain down the leg or arm? So far (thank god) I don't have much of that.

Going up & down with Pred - Steroids or pain? - Help!
I've been prescribed
amitriptyline
10mg to help with pain. Has anyone else been prescribed this & has it helped in anyway, or have the side effects been a negative? I want to make 2023 better than 2022 & remain optimistic, but now feel I need to be more personally proactive in my treatment.

Depression, anxiety caused by toilet problems.
I don’t look forward to anything.I am on
Amitriptyline
10mg, and at first this medication seemed to help but now they are not.Im going to the Doctor Monday but know I will just sit and cry to him. I am a survivor of abuse that I suffered as a child and find examinations pretty traumatic.

Restless legs syndrome ( RSL)
My current medication for this condition is Pramipexole,
Amitriptyline
, Codine. On reading the leaflets for each say they can make you sleepy, and I should take them 2-3 hours be2 bedtime. My problem is that I can have RSL anytime of the day, so what am I supposed to do?
