Help! I'm bringing the neighbourhood down..
I did try 2 years ago to remove it on a day I felt good and the next day I ended up in bed dosed up with
Amitriptyline
, and having to do almost nothing for over a week. The rest of the garden makes me look like the neighborhood slattern.

edoxaban and topical diclofenic gel?
Before I had my surgery the pain was well managed by meloxicam and
amitriptyline
but then I had my first episode of AFib and they thought it may have been triggered by those drugs. So I was started on the holy grail of Bisoprolol, Edoxaban and Lipitor and told I’d need to mange on paracetamol.

Currently I'm taking
amitriptyline
each night dose keeps being increased but I remain in pain. Is it better to now try something different? Thanks

‘Little evidence’ whether or not most antidepressants work for chronic pain
Last year, I took a fairly low dose of
Amitriptyline
for the effects of shingles - primarily pain. I think it helped a bit - and it definitely seemed to help me sleep. But the side effects were unpleasant. (Tiredness, especially in the morning. Dry mouth.)

pain!
Paracetamol, naproxen and
amitriptyline
. The Dr also recently prescribed morphine which done absolutely nothing so stopped taking it. He has now trying me on gabapentin which I’ve been on for a week with no difference. My question is is there anything else I could be given?

pain relief - amytriptyline
I spoke to my GP and she prescribed
amitriptyline
and so far it’s been brilliant. The pain isn’t gone completely but it’s made a massive difference to my mobility, especially in the morning. I take 10mg each night.

Carol singing and earplugs - update
The doctor has increased the
amitriptyline
that I take to see if that helps with the anxiety. I explained what I thought had made the tinnitus worse - Carol singing with ear plugs- but he did not think that would happen.?

Duloxetine - Lack of Motivation
Opiates and NSAID's don't even make a dent in the pain, and I'm very allergic to
Amitriptyline
, so Duloxetine is really the last chance saloon in terms of sourcing medication for pain management, and I have been on 60mg now for about 2 months.

Any experiences of >90mg doses of Amitriptyline for fibro pain?
I feel like my nerve and joint pain is 'breaking through' the
amitriptyline
. Does anyone have experience of being on more than 90mg a day, and was the increase effective? I'm not sure if I should look to increase or switch.

What pain relief do you use?
Does anyone use
Amitriptyline
? Thinking it might help with the nerve pain up and down my legs? The only real relief I get is from a scorching hot bath and my dreamland heat pad. Thank you xx

Postherpetic neuralgia - Axsain capsaicin
Couldn't cope with the side effects of
amitriptyline
. Really didn't want any systemic medicine if I could avoid. Asked for, and got, Axsain 0.075% capsaicin cream. Once I realised it can take a few weeks to get going, and it needs to be applied regardless any pain, it has been so, so helpful.

Amitriptyline interaction with Levothyroxine
I have also been prescribed
Amitriptyline
10mg, which I am concerned will counteract the new reduction in my Levothyroxine mediation. Can anyone help? Thanks 😊

Duloxetine
My consultant started
Amitriptyline
two years ago but I've only ever been able to tolerate 5mg which is a kind of nothing dose. I've been through and done all the FODMAP diet and still really stick to that as things are so bad.

Migraine link?
My partner has had migraine for years and when we got together he was on 80 mg of
amitriptyline
a day and still had attacks where he ended up taking a triptan. He is now off the
amitriptyline
and no worse. He is constantly 'heading off' attacks with a cold cloth and Anadin.

Possible flare
I have spoken to doctor asking if I should increase steroids who advised me to stay on 8mg as pain is not around temporals and to increase
amitriptyline
to 20mg, which has not helped with pain which is around parietal part of skull.

GnRH Injections & Mirena Coil
I already take
Amitriptyline
30mg ON & she has said I can increased to 40mg & then 50mg if I need too. I also have the Mirena Coil (I had this replaced during surgery so have had one non stop for 7 years now and I don't bleed whatsoever).
