Advice on painkillers please?
He gave me a script for
Amitriptyline
(1 tablet before I go to bed) instead and advised Paracetamol “if I needed” throughout the day. First, let me say that I used to take 2 Co-dydramol before bed and used to take as/when required in the day.

Fed up with headaches
I've been put on Sodium Valproate 200mg and told to come off Propranolol, which I've managed, but now have to wean myself off
amitriptyline
50mg! Which scares me as I've taken it for about 20 yrs. I'm getting cluster headaches all the time and migraines two or three times a week

I'm now on
Amitriptyline
tablets but doctor says they can take up to 6 weeks to start working, I'm so fed up. Has anyone tried anything else that has worked for them? Thank you for reading.

Should I see a private GI specialist? What are your experiences? (UK)
My GP has been really good to me - I've have had various tests (blood tests to check for inflammation, anaemia, celiac, etc which, other than low iron, all came back fine) and have tried several medications over the months (senna, Laxido, Fybogel, mebeverin,
amitriptyline
, milk of magnesia, lactulose

Need advice
I have sciatica and I am on
Amitriptyline
and only when I can not take it anymore it is only 10mg BUT I find if I do take this it doesn't really hit me for hours after and the next day I am struggling to do anything so tired so I try to avoid this.

Nothing But Pain
Despite having this tape removed back in sept 2013 and taking pregabalin and
amitriptyline
for the nerve damage that was caused after the prolapse repair (bladder and rectum) in 2012.

Daily juggle
I have tried counselling and I am currently on
Amitriptyline
, tramadol, naproxen, paracetamol and also propanalol for stress and anxiety. The propanalol is great and I have felt a lot less anxious than recently, but the pain from the fibromyalgia still is not under control.

Anyway, I have taken some holiday from work, which involves a lot of driving, & have started
Amitriptyline
. the tiredness so far doesn't seem so bad, but I have everything crossed that this may help.

Botox Injections.
He first prescribed
Amitriptyline
, but this didn't work, so I now take 0.0176mg nightly of Praminexole which does work 95% of the time, but the side effects are tough to live with. They can best be described as making me feel years older than I am.

Background migraine
I started cutting out the
amitriptyline
which I have been taking for a while, as it seems to have a counter effect when it comes to loosing weight. I was wondering whether anyone has similar situation before and how did/do you deal with it?

Just wondered if any of you have been prescribed
amitriptyline
for endo pain. I've got pain running down my left left leg (from my tail bone to my knee) and have been prescribed
amitriptyline
alongside my usual pain killers.
