Pred and Metformin?
After 6 months on Pred for PMR, tapering without problems from 15mg to 7 mg, I have had an HbA1c test and the score is 72. For the previous 4 years, my Type 2 Diabetes was being managed solely by diet and exercise and my HbA1c never rose above 45. I have not put on any weight from the Pred, my eyesight

Stuck on ropinirole
Hi everyone it’s been a while since I was last on here, if anyone can remember I was taking 3 2mg Ropinirole in 24 hours and I tried my best to come off them! It was torture. Anyway I had a week where I got fed up with everything and I stopped all my medication apart from ropinirole, I discovered stopping

Cycle 2 on metformin
Just wanted to share my progress on metformin. Once again it appears I might ovulate this cycle. I’m trying not to have any expectations this time and I have been less stressed out this cycle, probably because I haven’t been obsessing too much over tracking all my symptoms and temperatures. Hope everyone

Tingling and dark spots on legs
Itching and observed dark spots mostly on legs. Does it indicates sugar levels high? i used to observe these when i used to take Metformin (mixed with Glimperide...). As legs tingling was very frequent then stopped medicine and following mostly diet control (cheating at times though) and then these

Pain near tail bone while getting up from sofa
I am 76+. During April 2019, I had a fall on road while walking fast. I fell on buttocks but left leg took impact. Hairline crack 6" above ankle needed plaster for six weeks. Leg normalized in six weeks and my walk is now normal but at less walking speed. Soon I noticed that I have pain in Tail Bone

It's never too late
Smoking was killing me, and on top of that I was paying a fortune to have a slow suicide, well thank God I was able to stop 12 years ago. Since then my life changed so much, I did put extra weight on but more about that later. Before I stopped smoking I was smoking 180 cigarettes a week, which I couldn't

Unstable Diabetes, Type II
I really understand your frustration. I am 76 and managed Diabetes Type II for over 40 years. Now is so much more complicated and unstable. I added Januvia, to Metformin and now Insulin daily and eat 100% sugar-free and healthy and still have trouble staying in a healthy range. Good luck to you!

Need tips on taking metformin
Hi everyone. I'm on metformin at 250mg twice a day. The doc plans to increase it at my next appointment. My problem is the GI side effects. The gas I can handle but not the diarrhea. I've tried taking it before meals, after meals and during meals. I still get hit and barely make it to the bathroom.

Well, I wasn’t able to confirm ovulation my last cycle although I did get lots of high fertility results on the clear blue opk... and i got my period yesterday. Does make you feel crappy but obviously it’s not going to be easy guess I will just keep trying. I just purchased some ovulation sticks much

Weight Loss possibilities
I am interested in the weight loss opportunities of taking Glucophage aka Metformin, as to the best of my knowledge, I don't have (yet) Type 2 diabetes.

Metformin weight loss/doctors
Hi, I went to a fertility specialist. He diagnosed me with pcos. He was very knowledgeable on the subject, I felt like a lot made sense. He put me on Metformin (at the time, to conceive) but he said a lot about insulin levels etc and the Metformin would level it out. With exercise and healthy eating

I have ran out of metformin, and no longer have insurance is there anywhere I can buy it online without a prescription? I had found a site but I can’t find it anywhere!

How to prevent a healthy gut [Indeed,] high amounts of sugar and meat make things worse. [Exacerbate gut pathology.].
A new study out of the University Medical Center Groningen in the Netherlands details the type of diet that was found to fuel the growth of healthy gut bacteria, particularly strains that have anti-inflammatory effects in the body.
