House fire and fumes
Dear all . Due to brain fog and feeling tired I didnt get around to putting a lighter away after lighting our woodburner. My seven year old boy sneaked the lighter upstairs and set light to his bedroom. This became quite a serious fire which ruined their room and covered the upstairs of our house in soot

Femodette and hair loss?
Has anyone had any hair loss with Femodette? I switched from Microgynon (for endo) and I never had any hair loss issues even tho I experienced it in the past when there were signs of me being borderline PCOS...anyways the reason why I switched to Femodette was because Micorgynon was giving me major anxiety

Phenindione shortage
I have just received a letter from my doctor referring me to a haematologist as Phenindione is due to reach critical levels in the new year. I can not tolerate warfarin as it gives me sickness and diarrhoea, I did spend a year taking enoxaparin injections. I am not sure whether I want to take a new

Hair loss due to medication
Hello, I have joined the sight on behalf of my mum who has GCA. She was diagnosed in May 2015, started on 80 pred and is now down to 1 but my mums hair has suddenly go very thin and is falling out. She is very distressed about it. Has anyone else experienced this, is it a side effect? How long will it

Inhaler cases for demonstration
Hello, I’m currently in the process of designing a number of first aid courses and need to include treatment of asthma. I wondered if anyone could advise me on where I might be able to source some empty inhaler cases and spacers for demonstration purposes. Much appreciated Adam

Started to use the DMSO and L'carnitine tartrate.
Day 3 tonight, certainly not a problem to daube this mixture on my scalp. Tried on my eyebrows, but it was a bit too itchy. Just rinsed my hair in the shower, not using any shampoo. Obviously will not see any difference, if any, for quite a few months. Will keep posting.

Alopecia
Hi, does anybody else have hair loss due to RA. I've got a bold patch around the temple area and when I googled it last night the word 'alopecia' came up and that it was an auti-immune problem. So, on top of everything else I'm going bald. I'm thoroughly depressed by this; seems there's no end to the

Anticoagulation therapy tracking app
Hi everyone! My name is Luka and I suffered from 2 DVT's in both of my legs. I got first one when I was 12 years old after which I was diagnosed with thrombophilia. Since I was young and stupid I didn't realise how serious was the diagnosis and lived my life as a young person does - wild and careless

Vaseline🙌🏼
Mine didn't get as bad as that but I had an allergic reaction to a cleanser and toner when it got really bad I just left it alone and washed my face with water every morning and evening! Because I wear make up I still get quite dry skin and I just put a thin layer of Vaseline on and it's almost gone

Pulmonary Hypertension
Dear All, I am hoping that someone can advise or point me in the right direction with regard to symptoms that I have been experiencing for over 12 months. I have a history of Pulmonary Embolisms (4 in total over the years) and DVT's in my right calf. Following my latest episode of PE in November 2014
