Taking Aspirin for Your Heart? How to Make It Even More Effective?
There has been some press lately, at least in the USA on adding rivaroxaban (Xarelto) to your daily aspirin regimen, as a result of new studies. I am sure some of you have seen this press. I intend to raise the issue with my cardiologist, in that I am taking Xarelto, so I need to ask him should I add

Head itching
Does anyone know whether head itching is a PD symptom? My head itches especially when I go to sleep. I see no dandruff and use dandruff shampoo. I went to the dermatologist who gave me a special shampoo with no change in itching. Can it be reaction to neupro parch? I stopped the neupro which helped

And Red Legs Too.....
I was neglected at a convalescent hospital following hip surgery and developed blood clots. I take Warfarin for that. Now below my knees my legs ankles and feet are very swollen and part of my legs have turned red, dry and peeling. What is this and what can I do?

Lupus & Lung Problems
I'm new to the forum. Have been in the process of reducing my meds, now taken for last 10 years -they are methotrexate, prednisolone and hydroxychloroquine, along with other stuff for heart & BP. They have kept me well over the last 2-3 years esp. Now find that I have 'shrinking lung syndrome'! Seems

Is it safe to eat Grapefruit while taking certain medication?
Hi all. I absolutely love grapefruit but just looking some advice if grapefruit is safe to eat with certain medication as I've heard that it can work against them. I've been diagnosed with PBC & AIH and therefore have a mixture of tablets to take. My meds are Rifampicin, Prednisone, Omeprazole, Ursodeoxycholic

Losing Hair
I have posted on here before and probably asked the same question about hair loss. I just recently started to lose a lot of my hair unlike before I would say I have lost about a 1/4 of my hair and it is depressing. Has anyone else experienced this and has their hair grown back?

Feeling confused, frustrated and worried.
An update, I seem to have been writing no positive posts of late. My latest 6 weeks check up at Addenbrookes, again I did not see George Mell, he is only seeing new patients and each time I attend I seem to be more worried and find that I am not getting answers or politician type answers. I even asked

Biopsy says PBC/AIH overlap
So my Dr called today and said that I do have the PBC/AIH overlap. The biopsy/labs confirmed what she was thinking. Apparently it is that AIH that's driving this train. She said that my liver issues during my last pregnancy probably spurred it on, making AIH come on aggressively, but she is very

Biopsy results
Hello all, I got a call from my GI's office with the results of my liver biopsy. She said it confirmed the diagnosis of PBC, but that she believes I have an AIH overlap. She said it was not noted on the biopsy results, so the doctor was currently on the phone with the pathologist who read my biopsy

Week full of tests 😔
I recently posted about tingling in my legs and basically my doctor prescribed more deep sleep. Well that's easier said than done as I know you all know. However, I have given it my best effort despite a hurricane and having the worst four days of my life with almost no sleep. Other than that I feel

Short Lived responder to Urso
I fell I have not been here for ages. I was away on my hols for a fortnight, Granny care has been pretty full on since. My last visit to Addenbrookes confirmed the Anti-GP 210 marked a more progressive journey but support and treatment would be the same. While there had usual blood tests on the day,

Androgen Receptor independent prostate cancer
PC can be androgen independent. Can it be Androgen Receptor independent. I assume the answer is No, the Androgen Receptor is still essential, so other attacks on the AR (other than DHT impersonators) would be useful. The entire macro-molecule is called the androgen receptor, but actually only the LBD

Hair Loss Continues
I'm down to 4.5mg prednisone per day and my hair is still falling out! :( Has anyone had any luck with Rogaine? I'm afraid to try it as my hair loss doesn't seem to match up with the pictures on the box. Not only do I have thinning on top of the scalp but also the back of my head...pretty much allover
