I'm new to this site. I was diagnosed in June this year with autoimmune hepatitis and pbc overlap. I have been taking 9mg of budesonide steroids and u 10 ml twice a day of urso acid for these conditions and my blood levels have all come down to within normal range, but I still feel rough. Anyone else on the same meds and feeling the same? I also suffer from endometriosis which I think has been made worst from the autoimmune conditions and am awaiting another laparoscopy now that my blood levels are better.

Hi Briggo

I see you posted a while ago so just thought I would pop in and say welcome. I do not have the AIH overlap but I am sure someone will come along soon who can help. It tends to be quiet at weekends but you can get information by joining the PBC Foundation free to join and the member's section has a lot of information also back copies of the Bear Facts magazine has useful articles. You may also be able to find other posts by looking at previous posts on here.

Best wishes

Hi welcome just read your post, I do have Sjogrens/lupus overlap with PBC theses autoimmune diseases seem to go hand in hand , I will say I do have very rough days but since on the URSO and CBD oil I have many good days now. I think this is the normal for anyone who has PBC and or other autoimmune diseases or chronic health conditions speaking from my experiences and what I read on here.

The CBD oil is new for me, ask your doctor if you can try it look it up read about it, it is becoming more popular as alternative treatment for those who have tried everything else such as my self it has been very helpful for me with inflammation, stomach/liver pain and swelling , fatigue , headaches and sleep. The list is endless and they have done a handful of clinical trials showing good results so far. I am not a doctor and am not recommending it for everyone it's a good alternative if your doctor agrees you can try it. I can't take pills anymore for pain so it is a good alternative for me. Hope you are feeling better today🙏🌻
