HI I HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH AUTOIMMINE HEPATITIS AND AFTER A YEAR OFF WORK I AM NOW BACK WORKING.
I AM GOING THROUGH A SICKNESS DISCIPLINARY AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF MY ILLNESS CAN BE CLASSED AS A DISABILITY AND AS SUCH BE DEALT WITH UNDER THE DISCRIMINATION DISABILITY ACT.
I AM CURRENTLY ON PREDNISILONE AND AZATIOPRINE.

Hey, I think you need to seek advice & have someone with you when you attend your disaplineary. Not sure who you need to talk to. Have a look on the web for advice. Your GP & any Drs involved in your care to see if they can help. Good luck
Hi yes it can. Talk to your union rep as soon as possible as you need to be careful with words when communicating to your HR dept. Read up on disability law on gov.uk website to empower yourself.
I have not taken any time off work, however as I wanted to go part time I was required to attend a meeting with my employers GP who has sent in letters saying my post is covered under the equality act as it is a chronic condition. Seek advice from your HR Department & good luck
