Vaccine
Getting my first shot of the Moderna vaccine today. I’m taking 7mg of prednisone and due to give myself my Actemra shot two days later. Is there any info about delaying your injection? Tried to contact my rheumatologist but he is away. His nurse didn’t have an answer for me.

Advice please!
Hi, after an eye examination I've been advised that I have the very early stages of macular degeneration 'nothing to worry about at this stage' - apparently, but obviously annual checks are essential, and in the meantime, the very best thing I can do is to always wear sunglasses on bright days and to

Awaiting cataract surgery
Hi, can any of you kind people who have had cataract surgery please tell me how long a break they took from running ( more like jogging in my case!) I realise that everyone's experience is different so will have to see how it goes, but it would be interesting to hear from other people. Thanks

Key Difference – Thiamine Mononitrate vs Thiamine Hydrochloride
Both Thiamine Mononitrate and Thiamine Hydrochloride are sources of Thiamine (vitamin B1). Thiamine mononitrate is prepared from Thiamine hydrochloride by removing chloride ion and mixing the final product with a nitric acid. This is the key difference between Thiamine mononitrate and Thiamine hydrochloride

Carvedilol
I have cirrhosis and the ongoing stuff with it. I was on Omeprazole and Spironolactone. Told I was on it for life. No problem. But after a recent gastroscopy I was put on Carvedilol. I had dreadful side effects. Plummeting blood pressure and no appetite. I have barely eaten for over a week. I have spoken

Covid jab update
Received #1 injection ...Pfizer, 24 hours ago. No pain at injection site, not even sore shoulder this morning. All seems ok , so far. The clinic was well organized and seriously efficient. Parking was easy, with traffic directed quickly. The clinic entry was easy to locate, and we were quickly signed

Running after cataract surgery
Hi, I'm due to have a cataract operation in a couple of weeks. I've been advised to avoid strenuous exercise for 1-2 weeks after. I wondered if anyone had gone through the same and how they found running afterwards? Was 2 weeks about right or did you find you had to wait longer. Realise everyone's experience

Covid jab, what are side effects for those of us taking pred?
I just received my appointment for my Covid jab, tomorrow afternoon. My question...should I take a bit extra prednisone to mitigate any side effects of the injection? I generally have a mild reaction, anytime I have an immunization injection. Anyone have opinion on this topic?? My PMR diagnosed

Perhaps raising the head of our bed a few inches. From Ian Fritzell's (a PWP) vlog last week. Who knows?? A mixed bag.
I have not tried this myself, so I do not vouch for it, but I find Ian to be a reliable, objective source and a good guy, so I'll try it tonight. Vlog #154 My Progress With Glycine, Thiamine, nocturia and Inclined Bed Therapy 4 min VLOG https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJX318q7ang 5 min https://www.youtube.com
