Hi, I was diagnosed 9 weeks ago and have had two appointments. Diagnosis: left eye glaucomatous optic neuropathy, cataracts 3+ on both eyes and astigmatism on right eye. I’ve been using Monopost for 8 weeks and pressure has come down from16 on both eyes to 13 on L and 11 on R eye. Consultant is pleased

Liver tests ok, still unwell. Anxious about cirrhosis being missed.
Liver tests good except low phosphate. Day 6 alcohol free, still nauseous and unwell. Wondering I’d I can have cirrhosis and still good liver results?

Pegasys- smouldering systemic mastocytosis
I was told I had to get injections to slow down mast cell production. When I got the prescription it said a form of chemotherapy? Anyone in my position? Not sure why if mastocytosis is not cancerous at my category

Drug side effects pilocarpine, dorzolamide/timolol, diamox generic acetazolomide
Narrow angle glaucoma cataract surgery in a few weeks. Taking pilocarpine, dorzolamide/timolol for over a month but recently seems to make me dizzy especially when lying flat. Also slowly withdrawing diamox 250mg. How can I lie still for surgery with this. Does anyone have advice or experience of this

High ggt
Hi I’m new here. I had an acute cholecystitis infection in my gallbladder and my common bile duct was blocked with a very large gallstone. Both had to be removed laparotomy but now almost 7 weeks post surgery. My liver function test was taken at 4.5 weeks and was given news that my GGT levels are

Pruritus
10 days of having a itchy back. Is it possible that this is a symptom of alcohol liver disease? I do not have any other symptoms at all. Can pruritus be the first presenting symptom of liver disease?

I decided to quit
I have decided today to quit drinking . I am terrified even after normal labs and a normal ultrasound I think I did damage. If a liver shows normal size and no focal lesions I’m assuming that’s good but I think they may have missed something. How can I not have fatty liver??!! I read a story today about

Cataract surgery
Hi everyone I hope this post finds you all well. Has anyone had a cataract surgery without stopping their ibrutinib medication? Apparently I need this surgery and I’m worried about not taking my ibrutinib. I’ve been on it for 3 years and 3 months and going well. Thanking you all in advance. Kind regards

I walked!
I was determined to get on March 20th and walk. I made it about one block with my husbands help and it felt so good. Kinda late posting cause he had cataract surgery the following week and so many appointments and his daughter came from 500 miles away to drive us to hospital, and now I put in 3 drops

Does anyone recommend Losartan or Ace inhibitors?
I have issues with Amlodipine: anxiety, dizziness, insomnia. weight gain, exhaustion and have cut down to 2.5 mg with some improvement. Not sure if some of this is pandemic related anyway but have had amlodipine for over a year now and would like to try something else. My current readings are around

Fluttering feeling on my upper right side
I am a male, 36 years old, fit (on the skinny side). I started drinking when I was about 18. I would go out with friends and we would get pretty drunk on the week ends. I couldn’t tell how much we drank really, it varied a lot, sometimes it was just a few beers and sometimes it was a lot more. The frequency

Has anyone taken Vinpocetine with Rasagiline and Amantadine?
If you have taken this combination please let me know. I want to add Vinpocetine to my daily supplements but I’m concerned about any interactions with Amantadine and Rasagiline. Thank you my enlightened friends.

COVID Vaccination while taking Actemra
I had the first Pfizer Covid vaccination four days ago and I am happy to report the only side effect was soreness at the injection site for about 24 hours. I am currently taking 2 mg Prednisone and Actemra. My Rheumatologist said it was not necessary to stop the Actemra before my vaccination. However
