Gleason 9, diagnosed in 2013 with PSA of 8. Prostatectomy, radiation 6 months later. PSA continued to rise-began in Lupron March, 2014 and continued with brief vacations until PSA began to rise again. Provenge July , 2019. One year of Xtandi, one year of Lynparza, docetaxal July-November, 2022. Stopped because of rising PSA and neuropathy. December, 2022 began Pluvicto at UVA with PSA of 194. Four sessions so far-PSA is now 31.

Yank66, I am starting "Pluvicto" tomorrow, July 31st, and have NO idea what to expect. Will board my dog for seven days because i can find NO info on pets. They told me the cost for each treatment would be$80,000 ...............does this seem right?? When can i have lunch with my buddies sitting in a booth?? Does a cleaning lady working in the house have to take precautions?? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I am sure you will receive detailed instructions when you have your infusion. We did not board our dog-she just doesn’t get lap time with DH for three days and sleeps with me in a separate room. It has been hard for her to understand why she’s not getting her snuggle time with him. Three feet distance between him and others for three days (with the exception of children and pregnant women for seven days) is required. So your cleaning lady just needs to keep her distance from you. We were told that hubby had to do his own laundry (including sheets and towels) separately, and clean the bathroom thoroughly himself after 3 days. The nuclear medicine staff gives updated precautions with each infusion. Our best wishes for a good response to Pluvicto.

Yank66,

Thanks for the reply and the great news and of the Pluvicto effectiveness.

I am scheduled to have my first treatment of LU177-PNT@2002 on 8 August in the NYC Clinical Trial with Dr Tagawa. We too have a 12 pound Maltease who is not going to understand the separation. I hope to have my 2nd-4th treatments closer to home at Myrtle Beach and just stay secluded in an Air B&B for the week following each. I bought a Geiger Counter from Amazon to monitor just how much of an issue the radioactive issue is. (What can I say, I'm a retired engineer!) Will update the group on my personal finding in about a mouth.

In you case, I assume you are on ADT still. Are you planning more treatment to bring the PSA down?

There is an interesting presentation of another targeted treatment in Phase 2 Clinical Trial at Myrtle Beach by Dr Shores and elsewhere most likely.

Check it out.
