So the odds we all read about... are they true?
Everybody seems to be on their 7th year of
ADT
, or their 12th... or they did
ADT
for 9 years and then started just pallatively zapping lesions as they pop up with radiation to keep it at bay for 6 more years and still feel good and hanging in there.

No Osteoporosis with Estrogen Patch Therapy
These plots compare results from the Phase-II randomized trial (PATCH) comparing estrogen patch therapy to Lupron
ADT
. These plots show that Lupron
ADT
causes bone loss, while estrogen patch therapy has either no bone loss or increased bone mineral density (BMD) over time. Bob

Vitamins with ADT?
Hi Tall_Allen, You do not recommend vitamins when on
ADT
? I am on daily Casodex, has been for several years, and I am taking - Multivitamins, C-, D-, K- vitamins and magnesium daily. Should I stop this? Can you elaborate a bit on why you do not recommend taking vitamins? Thanks in advance!

Silly Questions??
1) Why do some advanced prostate cancer patients get offered "vacations", from
ADT
and others don't? 2) Why do some advanced prostate cancer patients have NO Chemo, and go directly to
ADT
+ Abiraterone+Prednisone, while others begin treatment with chemo and radiation?

How is the second generation ADT like xtandi , zytiga etc decided ?
What determines which second line
ADT
will be given to whom ? I see there is zytiga , xtandi , nubeqa and others. Is it just left to the MO to decide ?

darolutamide monotherapy experience?
If you’ve had darolutamide mono therapy, I’m interested in your experience with effectiveness and side effects, especially compared to
ADT
like Lupron.

On treating micro-metastatic disease
Thereafter just monitor the PSA for any rise, and use PSMA PET scan to locate any cancer and to radiate whatever spots of cancer that are found. This May I will reach the one year mark of my
ADT
and seriously considering stopping the
ADT
because of the side effects... fatigue, muscle loss, forgetfulness

One questions doctors never seem to be able to answer is at what PSA level do you start to experience pain or physical problems?
If you have had surgery, Salvage Radiation,
ADT
, SRBT and then stopped
ADT
with a continuing rise in you PSA when did you start to have pain or physical problems?

ADT prior to RT
It has been recommended that I use
ADT
prior to RT. I believe they are intending to use Lupron but I hear there are alternatives with fewer side effects. Any suggestions and studies to support?

Decipher question
But Decipher, which focuses on various statistics, doesn't say what the improvement would be with
ADT
. Does my chance of meta go down significantly by adding
ADT
?

Anyone felt as if drunk while on Relugovix?
After 13 months of
ADT
vacation, I've gone back on
ADT
last week. This time I am on Relugovix (Orgovyx) instead of Lupron. Since I exercise pretty much everyday, even upping my training a little more on the cardio side of late, I think I am doing not too bad against the fatigue from the
ADT

Rising PCA - on ADT Holiday
Completed RT and 18 months on
ADT
(Nubeqa) paused the
ADT
in September after PSA non detectable and a fresh set of scans showed no “evidence of disease”. Continued to do bloodwork quarterly and PSA remained at 0. Until this week results came in at 1.2.

Low Testosterone reduces Survival by a huge amount.
The cohort is 58 men with unfavorable intermediate risk who underwent RT and 6-months of
ADT
. The important takeaway is that having a low testosterone (T < 280 ng/dL) after completing
ADT
is associated with
extremely poor
survival outcomes.

Darolutamide (Nubeqa) Vs Enzalutamide ( Xtandi)
Are there any studies comparing efficacy and side effect profile of darolutamide Vs enzalutamide when given together with first generation
ADT
? I read that darolutamide does not cross blood brain barrier so may have lesser side effects ?

Update on Treatment
PSA level, after
ADT
started, has gone down from 9.2 to .02 (Ultrasensitive PSA). No side effects thus far (apart from hot flashes). Waiting game starts.
ADT
will continue for 2 years. Doc says 40% chance of recurrence.

Treatment options
I am 47 years old diagnosed with PC last month with Gleason score 9(5,4) and was advised
ADT
treatment with Bicalutamide and followed by Lupron 30 mg after two weeks. PSA was 77 in Jan and dropped to 23 after starting
ADT
treatment and already feeling better with much less urinary symptoms.
