Leakage of protein in urine indicates, as per my knowledge, kidney problem. Please consult a Nephrologist immediately. Good luck.

its a matter of great concern much as same issue bothers me too;. mine has been happening for past several years albeit have now managed to bring down discharge levels considerably; I feel your Mom may be just too stressed, too much tension or she thinks a lot, etc. just ask her to remain cool, calm, relaxed and give her a 'mala' to do NAAM JAAP - constant prayers that'd keep her occupied instead of thinking too much or worrying on miniscule petty issues of zero importance; blood pressure must be under control; composition of your family not known but if you've got few people to accompany her, ask her to travel to one of hill resorts/stations closest to your place/city of residence, e.g. I've met patients with TB and others too with other ailments and they lived in Mahableshwar, Panchgani and similar hill stations, enjoyed pristine weathers and took healthy meals, lived carefree from the urban turmoil and nuisance; they all got well, are living in fine spirits, good health and without medication; if you've got the money/ies, spend on these people who'd be prepared to accompany your Mom;if you don't have the time to spend so many weeks at such 'dry climate' spots, these monies spent are the incentive to get YES answer from people who'd be prepared to travel with your Mom and keep her in high spirits; as for diabetics, MEDFREE is absolutely correct in prescribing LCHF measures; if BP is under control, it'd be obvious she'd have to control her sugar levels too. give it a shot!! 3 to 4 months away form urban jungle and daily weird chores and societal gossip, etc.
