NDT fillers/binders?
If cellulose binds thyroid hormone, and sugar on the other hand makes absorption easier, why would Forest replace sugar with cellulose? I read somewhere that they wanted to make Armour more diabetic-friendly, but wasn't there any other filler they could have chosen, instead of cellulose? Although, I

86-year-old man’s congestive heart failure resolved with thyroid treatment
Written by Janet Thome, The 1000 Souls Project What I am about to share is a long read, but this could be very important for someone who has congestive heart failure, hypothyroidism, type 2 Diabetes or a damaged liver. That covers half of our [US] population.] http://hypothyroidmom.com/86-year-old-mans-congestive-heart-failure-resolved-with-thyroid-treatment

AFIB and Heart Failure
This is my first post. In June 2012 I was diagnosed with AFIB & Heart Failure. My pulse rate was 160. The hospital cardiologist decided to treat me with the powerful drugs which they routinely prescribe instead of trying a cardioversion. Three miserable years later, after trying beta-blockers, ace inhibitors

Hasty again!
Hello Folks! Been feeling increasingly breathless this week, and tightness in chest, as well as lethargic. Then last evening went into A-fib again - enough to feel quite unwell but not my "bad" ("full") sort where I'm almost crawling along the floor. Didn't sleep well, felt short of breath. So went

ICD/CRT Pacer implant
I'm having this device implanted in August. It was advised by my EP cardiologist after an echocardiogram to check my heart after paroxysmal AF episodes. He thinks I'm at risk of heart failure. I will be having 3 leads fitted and at some point later, I'll have an ablation to, hopefully, prevent AF episodes

More on Prograf
I have been reading Prograf experiences in recent days and it reminded me to alert you to my recent experience. I had a transplant in December 2011 and was on a reducing dose of all of my medications in the first 12-18 months after transplant. These stabilised in summer 2013 at 500mg x 2 of MMF and

Kidney transplant - what I need to ask?
My Dad luckily received a kidney transplant yesterday. I'm going to see him tonight but what do I need to know to see how the kidney is performing. He has just had a gamma x ray and will get results tonight, but also I've read that his creatanine levels would also be a good indicator. What are the creatanine

Coming off Amiodarone
Husband had an echocardiogram and his heart was fine, no abnormalities. He'd previously been told he had heart failure with a stretched left ventricle. Anyway, the echocardiogram showed that his heart had recovered. The cardiologist put him on the list for a cryo ablation, but in the meantime told
