My understanding was that there were 3 disease modifying studies at phase 3 trial.1 Exenatide has failed. 2 Ambroxol is on going 3 lactobacillus acidophilus I can't find any study details for via google. Does anyone know more ?

Thanks to chartist for sharing the research that 6 strains (L. acidophilus, L. fermentum, L. plantarum, B. longum, B. lactis, S. boulardii) along with 5 grams of Inulin FOS significantly increased SCFA. This may be beneficial by indirect action.

can anyone tell me whether acidophilus tabs aggrevate RLS. I have recently started back on these tabs to help my Cauda Equina problems and the RLS has now gone through the floor.

I also asked them why another heavily promoted ingredient in Seratame was probiotic Lactobacillus acidophilus and why this was changed to L. plantarum, but again no reply. I have no views on the effectiveness of either formulation of Seratame, not having tried it.

I tried taking acidophilus probiotics to help rebalance things, but it was a bit of a disaster. I know probiotics can make symptoms worse temporarily, but this made things unbearable. Just not something I could work through.

I was wondering what experiences people have had with Probiotics? The brand is Lamberts and its the 10 billion dose, just 30 tablets if that makes a difference. I have only been taking these for two days and visiting the toilet a lot more. Three trips this morning and its a little soft. I have IBS-D

I taking lamberts Acidophilus Extra 10 at the moment but I'm.not sure it's strong enough. Also any other brands recommendations for the usual bits we "thyroidies "take would be great 😁

So completely scunnered (fed up for those who don't know this word) I take acidophilus every day but thinking of trying something else. Scared incase new things cause more pain and diarrhoea. I just want to be regular and relatively pain free! Any suggestions and honest reviews?

I'm interested in the connection between arrhythmia symptoms and candida yeast overgrowth and the suppression/elimination of symptoms with supplementation with probiotics, such as acidophilus and bifidus friendly bacteria? does anyone have any experience with such a protocol?
