My Current Stack (what is in yours?)

This is my latest stack. My goal over the last 18 months here is to develop a stack that somewhat made sense to me and then to stick with it and stop bouncing around. I feel like I am pretty close to being there. Of course it is all a crap shoot and a good amount of hopium.

I have not been diagnosed with PD. I have REM Sleep Behavior Disorder, a sore left shoulder, sore left leg, not the best balance in the world (it never was great) and some involuntary muscle movements (nothing big or repetitive. A few times a day).

I don't know if this stack has any real benefit, but I do know my tongue has been splotchy for 25 years and it cleared up, and my face dandruff (and head dandruff) has cleared up (and I do not use dandruff shampoo). Watching flakes fall off my face was bringing me down. Also, my RBD is trending in a good direction (chart above) (please don't jinx myself). I will post an update if I start trending the wrong direction.

The stack is also on this web page with links to products: rbd-pd-protocols.blogspot.c...

1. I am gluten and lectin free now (except I do probably eat corn fed beef. Can't afford grass fed).

2. Follow an anti-inflammatory diet. The Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) has been shown to normalize the microbiome.

3. One cup of broccoli sprouts every morning and another cups of broccoli sprouts at night. I usually microwave a meatball and an onion with some hamburger grease, break up the meatball, and mix it in with the sprouts for breakfast.

4. lactobacillus Casei Shirota (Yakult): Anti-bacterial, anti-fungus, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, reduces cortisol levels.

5. Dr. Matthew Best Prebiotics and Probiotics for Women. It has (among other things):

- Lactobacillus acidophilus

- Lactobacillus reuteri

- Bifidobacterium bifidum

- Lactobacillus fermentum

6. Vinpocetine: 30 mg once a day (with food or your body absorbs nearly none of it). Supposed to increase blood flow to the brain.

7. Berberine 400 mg 3 times a day.

8. Lithium Orotate 15 mg. This is for depression AND it may be neuroprotective. They are doing a trial on Lithium for PD in Buffalo.

9. 2.5 grams ground Nigella Sativa,1 teaspoon of bee pollen, and a big spoon of raw honey mixed together and eaten.

10. Mixture of 2.2 grams Ceylon Cinnamon, and 600 mg of Organic Licorice Root Extract 20:1 Powder and 600 mg of UM Palmitoylethanolamide. I mix this with unsweetened applesauce. These are all antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory. I'm trying to treat my microbiome from mouth to gut.

11. Magnolia Extract 400 mg (90% Honokiol and Magnolol) before bed. This is supposed to help with REM Sleep Behavior Disorder and be neuroprotective. I get this from Swanson cheap.

12. NAC 1200 mg before bed.

13. Niacin Rapid Release 1000 mg once a day (at night to avoid triggering diabetes).

14. 600 mg Palmitoylethanolamide with Luteolin before bed.

15. I also listen to Binaural Beats for about an hour a day: rbd-pd-protocols.blogspot.c...

Thank you, Dave. (I thought you reversed on Binaural Beats?)

I still use Binaural Beats. Somebody told me my 6 HZ beats were not good for PD. I did not confirm that, but did find that 10 HZ and 40 HZ are better, so I am redoing all of them with new frequencies.

thanks! I’m needing to update my stack, I’ll take your choices into account. Considering that I also have RBD and I do have PD.

"8. Lithium Orotate 15 mg. This is for depression AND it may be neuroprotective. They are doing a trial on Lithium for PD in Buffalo."

I don't mind experimenting on myself but I've read that the wrong dose of lithium can lead to kidney disease.

I think the kidney disease comes from prescription doses of Lithium Carbonate. About 450 mg I believe.

That’s current, Bolt. Higher doses were much more concerning. This is based on Dr Guttuso’s recent book. It was a pretty quick read, but good information. It’s on sale for 99cents until Monday. Here’s the link again promiseoflithium.com/?utm_c...

WOW! You are super serious about this stack working for you! Sounds like you are on to something! I do the broccoli sprouts, gluten free, and anti inflammatory, plus exercise protocols, which, I believe, have helped me immensely, to at least, reasonably function! Congratulations!! I also, have Rem Sleep Disorder. I have been diagnosed with PD, and Cerebellar Ataxia, for a number of years. I take Sinemet and Propanolol. Balance and shoulder and knee problems, have plagued me for years. Keep up the stack protocol, and I’ll keep mine going too! My motto is to help myself, by knowing that knowledge is power! R

Thanks! Could you elaborate on your broccoli sprouts regimen? I am pretty sure I am having too much sprouts, but my instinct is telling me to have a cup twice a day.

How much sprouts are you having?

Are you treating them? I sprinkle ground raw mustard seed on mine (I use a coffee grinder and have a spice shaker for mustard powder).

I don’t have Broccoli sprouts every day! Around a half cup several times a week. I mix them in with Broccoli Crowns, sometimes, at dinner! I have Broccoli, and Cauliflower, as vegetables, about 5 times a week!

This looks great Dave! I am doing a lot of these things but I may add a few of your ideas to my regimen. Hoping you feel good! Cheers

How are you tracking your RBD Bolt?

Bolt_Upright profile image
Bolt_Upright in reply toMlvh

I count episode nights as nights I have an episode, total the days for the month, and divide by the days in the month. My wife is a light sleeper so she tells me if I have an episode (unless I do something that wakes me up, then she does not have to tell me).

So... for January I had only one episode. 1/28 = 3.6%

Just wondering why you don't take melatonin for RBD, considering it's anti oxidative properties?

Bolt_Upright profile image
Bolt_Upright in reply toRufous2

I tried Melatonin a few times. Made my depression worse.

Ahh, thank you. And lithium helps?

Bolt_Upright profile image
Bolt_Upright in reply toRufous2

I don't know if Lithium helps. I am just trusting the science. I think my overall stack is helping. Diet included. rbd-pd-protocols.blogspot.c...

Lithium and Prozac seem to be helping.
