Me again, has anyone tried anything from the "just for tummies" website? I'm really struggling, low fodmap diet didn't really help, I'm staying off wheat and having a small amount of dairy, trying to watch my fibre intake to see if it helps. So completely scunnered (fed up for those who don't know this word)
I take acidophilus every day but thinking of trying something else. Scared incase new things cause more pain and diarrhoea. I just want to be regular and relatively pain free!
Any suggestions and honest reviews?

Hi, I'm currently trying Lactospore (Bacillus Coagulans) as a probiotic. I did start taking it ten days ago. At first I took 2 billion CFUs but because this dosage seems to much for my intestines to start with (Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction?) I lowered the dosage and will be taking approx 1 billion CFUs for a while before increasing the dosage again. At the moment I also take a digestive enzym with my evening meal, creon 10.000 (10.000 U/E lipase). Bacillus Coagulans can normalise your intestinal flora, increasing bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus species in the gut when having dysbiosis and thus lead to improvement of symptoms. But it's trial and error I'm afraid and yes Eivissa I did waste enough money too till now.
I will look up the informative Gras (generally recognized as safe) document (from the producer of Lactospore so maybe not completely objective lactospore.com/about-lactos... on Bacillus coagulans and add the link to this post. Meanwhile you could do an search on the Internet for bacillus coagulans.
I tried the Just for Tummies digestive enzymes but they didn't make any difference to my pain. Have wasted so much money on different remedies. Have you tired rhubarb complex?
Twenty first century herbs do a Rhubarb complex trial pack which I believe is free... you just pay postage. It certainly made me go more often but I don't suffer from constipation so not sure if it works for those suffering with IBS C.
I ordered the rhubarb complex but was too scared to try it as it might make the diarrhoea worse. There's so many things out there, but when you ask a GP they tell you to eat a healthy diet. The healthy foods can be painful for me!
