Micro Re-search with the Pseudo diabetic Persons. As well some true case histories of so called diabetics
I was a pathologist.Having my own lab,My dad being my first patient. There was no family history of diabetes. His FBS was 400 with no symptoms absolutely. When checked on his medical history it came to light that he had amoebic
abscess
of the liver 2 years earlier.

I'm feeling very miserable at the moment, waiting to see if 2 weeks on 2 new antibiotics will shift the egg sized
abscess
on my back or if it will need surgery as my GP suggested. I have an appointment with a dermatologist in March.

Does anyone have any experience of post op infection/abscess?
Shes been in hospital since December 28th with an
abscess
in her pelvic cavity. She's being treated with IV antibiotics and has had 2 litres drained from her tummy plus surgical procedure to scrap away
abscess
. Her tummy is still hugely swollen and CT scan showed spots on liver and lungs.

My story ...
My son took me to hospital, I woke 4 weeks later in Icu, I had suffered two broken ribs which punctured my lung, this caused an
abscess
in my lung and empyema, pneumonia set in as did sepsis, I went into respiratory failure and was ventilated, my sons were told I would not survive, somehow I recovered

As far as the
abscess
goes it was a 50/50 call whether to cut it open, incise it and take out what is called a shelf under the skin to help it drain better. He decided to leave it a little longer and use a form of seaweed to clear it out. Meanwhile I have to say that it flipping hurts.

The end of the year doesn't mean the end to being a patient!
With me a virus seems to always lead to dehydration and with my kidney function going off quicker than a turkey left out of the fridge I soon found myself on antibiotics, a drip and with an
abscess
on my leg from all my injecting that has now turned in to a lovely great big hole.

Fighting the anxiety
Well I've had one of those fortnights...2 weekends ago I was on my own as my partner was traveling for work and I developed a tooth
abscess
. It was one of the most painful things I've ever had. I ended up having an emergency root canal.

Running while unwell....... what's your experience?
I should have run on Friday but my tonsils are inflamed and I have a pain in my jaw which feels like the start of an
abscess
. It's almost the end of term and we're all feeling a bit run down but I didn't feel I should run.
