Mdt have looked at the scan of the lump that we originally thought was an
abscess
and all agree that it is most likely a granulated seroma - may have to have surgery to remove it if it doesn't resolve itself in the next few weeks. Am cautiously over the moon!!!!

This is it!!
I'll also find out what this lump (that wasn't an
abscess
) is. Managed to keep my mind off it all day but now it's all I can think about. I've successfully convinced myself that I still have OC. Guess tomorrow will tell!

Straight back into limbo!
Luckily got seen straight away but the surgical registrar cut into it only to announce it isn't an
abscess
. There is no pus or infection, a clear serous fluid came out and he can see some complex tissue.

Beware of Lying Down for Long Periods
The lying down caused a lung infection which caused a brain
abscess
, which burst and killed him. Why was he lying down for so long? Because the NHS took 18 months to diagnose and treat a herniated disc in his spine. He couldn't move for the excruciating pain.

Making A List And Other Stuff
He'll keep looking at his arm when he's had it done you know...half hoping there'll be an enormous blister or an
abscess
...even a bruise would do. Then he could say 'I told you so' with a clear conscience...

A weekend of vomiting
On Wednesday I had an emergency appointment for my dentist who confirmed that I had an
abscess
in my gum so I will be going on Tuesday for him to deep clean my gum. Just want to know if anyone has this problem with vomiting when they have an infection before it is treated.

Request for shared experience - brain abscess
I am recovering from a brain
abscess
and wonder if anyone would share what the recovery process was like for them if possible. I am tremendously tired and often have head pain and wonder if this is normal.

Sun was shining, Abscess is healing so it was time to do the Worcester River walk again.
Its roughly 2 miles down to Diglis weir and back from the old Worcester river bridge, its level tarmac all the way around and there's plenty of seats for a break. I always start at the Swan sanctuary where you can stand and watch the swans doing their thing and then take a slow walk down to Diglis weir

A stroll out in Herefordshire with Dall05. Oh yes there's a few pics and vids thrown in as well.
I found it a little hard going up the hill seeing as I've not done much physical exercise recently due to the little
abscess
removal op almost 3 weeks back.

First Ever Post - Just need to rant right now!
I had a diagnostic laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and D&C in February 2014 - the only reason it was in the Feb and not any longer was because I had to have emergency surgery for an
abscess
from an ingrown hair and the consultant wanted to do it all together - otherwise I would have been waiting longer!

Cerebral Vasculitis (mis)diagnosis/RCVS/vasospasms
Except, March 27th, 2015 I developed a staph infection in my armpit (likely from shaving) and had the
abscess
removed. I am curious as to whether this could have played a role in developing vasculitis. I am also an avid scuba diver, softball player, and previous gymnast.

Dentist
I had a root canal treatment on tuesday as I had had an
abscess
. I left it so long as I am fearful of of dentist. Lots of stories to say how horrific procedure and perhaps for some it is. However I wondered why I was so nervous no worse than an ordinary filing.

Lost a tooth
I also had, what looking back at it, was probably an
abscess
, where the outside gum on that tooth developed a pouch of blood which popped while brushing my teeth. Last night the dentist found the tooth broken in half horizontally .

Life can sometimes be a pain in the rear end (Literally)
She returned and very gently gave the bad news to me so its back to getting the
abscess
situation sorted out before I can return to the list once more.
