Anyone suffered ovarian remnant syndrome/endo cysts post hysterectomy and oopherectomy?

Hey ladies.... just wondering if anyone had a diagnosis of ovarian remnant syndrome and if anyone has also possibly had cysts or endometriomas develop post hysterectomy etc? Thanks in advance x

Oh wow... so had the ovaries never been removed then, or did the consultant think that it was remnants not removed in the first place that had formed functioning ovaries again... (read about this happening)

If you had functioning ovaries and on hrt then did you not have any menopause symptoms... ie. hot flushes etc?

Trying to pinpoint a source of sporadic pain on my left side with my GP and specialist and wondering if this is a possibility.

Yes, I’ve had an endo diagnosis many years and have a long history of suffering from endo and surgeries etc. hence having my hysterectomy and ovaries removed (as endometriomas had pretty much destroyed one of my ovaries and kept forming on the other) so that’s why I’m asking about experiences and symptoms with ovarian remnant and endometriomas.

Did you have no menopause symptoms then or did you still get them when on hrt?... I get all the hot flushes even with being on hrt so wondered if ladies with ovarian remnant syndrome don’t get the menopause symptoms or can still get them. Thanks.

Hi , I know your post was a while ago but did you have ovary remnants after? I think that’s what I have as my ultrasound showed a cyst on an ovary that isn’t there. ..

What happened to you ? Did you need surgery again? Did you complain?

Kim, I just had a right and left ovary found. My gyn np was in shock, but she is also very worried that there could be cancer in the right. I’m in the US, and I’ll be heading to John Hopkins hospital next month. I’ve been horribly sick since Jan. I’ve lost loads of weight. Horrid cramping and stabbing pains. A couple of doctors have suspected lymphoma too.

Have you found anything else out?

Hi. How are you doing now?My surgery turned up ovarian residue and he is hopefull he got it all. The surgeon who did my hysterectomy left a bit of ovary behind
