Hi Everybody,
Just though it might be a good idea to find out where and when your most difficult and trying times during your quit attempts are?
Things to consider are; trigger points, socialising, being alone, eating , drinking etc.

For me it would be the morning, when would have been my first one, early evening when watching tv and certain foods; which is why i cut them out of my diet, they were unhealthy foods so that was a plus, just keep my hands busy at other times
Hi Emjay, the worst time for me is as i've said before, when i drink, which i have just cracked a can open, erm first thing in the morning used to be a bad time, and driving also, as for after meals i think everybody has that one!!!! as for keeping my hands busy, i'm always on the go doing something so that dosn't really bother me.

After a meal is hard for me as I always really enjoyed one then, also when I go for my morning walk in the Park I use to take one with me, mad really because I was doing somethink healthy with a b----y unhealthy white stick in my mouth.Never mind what,s done is done and there,s no point in looking back. Forward is the only option for us all.
Mad
Mad you are so so right gal--forward is the way to go, and i think everybody else will say the same..
Erm about your spelling gal---- b___y hhhhmmm not quite sure, i think you should ask Emjay about that one!!!!

I find i get a craving just after a meal. I think its actually the physical lighting a cigarette up , rather than the actual smoking that i miss. I now pick up the inhalator instead.
Jillygirl.
When I am bored I get really uncomfortable so I try to keep my hands busy as well as my mind. If I am watching telly I will cross-stitch, if I am washing up I want to occupy my mind so I put music on and sing along.
Avoid stressfull situations the best you can. If you think you need a cigerette go for a quick walk around the block and by the time your back the thought will be gone.
Worse time for me was when the phone rang, I would answer it go to the kitchen light a ciggy and stand outside the back door, think I did this because I was bored of standing outside smoking on my own plus I use to rush to get back inside so that was probs more unhealthy, taking bigger drags and smoking it as quick as I could, talking on the phone was allowing me to enjoy it better. I am now not taking the phone into the kitchen at all as it triggers a craving for a cigarette.
