I've been away from the office today and so this is the first chance I've had to bob on here
Look at that list of improvements above! There's only one thing you need to do to get you there: stop smoking. There's only one thing stopping you from getting there: You!
Remember that you can do this and we're all here to support you and get you to where you want to be
Jilly - love your post today and good to see you back again. Hello Emjay & Friezfriend and everyone else including Pete, Sinfree, Andi & all.
Looking a your list Jilly I can say 100% everything is so true ... this is exactly what happens. It is the best thing you can ever do for your health.
On reflection and fast heading to 4 months as a Non Smoker (+those 20 days) I can say it has been the best thing I could have done. Along with most smokers that give up we then dislike anything to do with that horrible toxic addiction !! (see what I mean - I guess its like how you would feel if a friend turned on you!!!).
I just want to say to anybody that has given up recently or about to give up "GO FOR IT".... the Cravings get less & less powerful as time goes on and you get your body & mind back and with luck save yourself from a horrible death !!! (50% of smokers I think go this way & the other 50% feel rubbish most of the time !!!).
Andi will be flying across the sky miles heading towards Australia... Lucky so and so
Jonathan, you're right about the poor 50% of smokers meeting their end if they carry on and I guess your also right about the other half of them feeling rubbish too. Lets give help and hope to those that do want to stop. It may just take time and effort but it really is worth it
JillyGirl, I'm now on the tail end of my cold and will be glad to see the ack of paracetamol - although it has helped me out somewhat this week!
Lost track of what shift pete is on. Glad your cold is on its way out. Would put a piccy on , but i am using my tablet and not sure how to put image on. Will just practice unless pete helps me out.
Hi Jilly. Hate typing on those things, takes ages. I can't get swype on my tablet so have to poke at each key individually, very time consuming, much prefer laptop.
haha, hi Emjay. Glad your cold is going now cos they're not nice are they. I am sitting here in my new wooly jumper over my slightly older wooly jumper with my new satiny type polo jumper underneath all that, so I'm quite hot but my legs are cold. I am currently internet Christmas shopping, so had a quick check on here. Internet christmas shopping is proving just as fruitless as trudging round the shops, am bored now.
A tablets for headaches.... An iPad (if you can't work it) gives you headaches

Any one got any ideas where I can go Christmas internet shopping next? I've done matalan, rubbish. Sainsbury's - rubbish. Boots - ha, not rich enough, plus half their stuff seems to be out of stock. £300 for a makeup set - they having a laugh or what. Wish people would buy their own pressies, this is totally why I really don't like Christmas, does my head in all this stoopid shopping when you don't even know what you're looking for.
I know George's stock inside out. Its my second home and is only about 1.5 miles from my house. Problem is I now have the addition of daughters partner. I don't know what to buy him, I don't even know what to buy my daughter or my son, or my mum and dad or anyone. If anyone mentions Secret Santa at work on Thursday grrrrrrr.
yeah but they're easy peasy. T K Maxx have got loads and loads of toys, I spent ages looking at them all this afternoon. But.......I've been asked to buy them clothes cos they have lots of toys Clothes are boooring. They won't be happy about that when they get a bit older.

I didn't know andi had gone to Australia, I thought she'd gone to Spain or France or somewhere. I would soooo love to spend Christmas Day on a beach in the sun, having a barbecued turkey - bliss.
You trying to say am tight?? Every shop is a pound shop or a home bargains or a B & M Bargains, I went out on a bike ride yesterday cos someone told me a new shop had opened on a retail park near us - so I ride all the way there in the freezin cold to find it's yet another flaming discount store. Grrrr There's a Range store there too but I didn't see any giant turkeys or sprouts all over the car park I love their adverts

Yes it is good in there for toys. I don't think my daughter wants any more toys though, she's just moved house and luckily acquired even more toys that were left by the last person, one being a huge dolls house. There were loads of books in TK Maxx. I would have still been there now if I'd looked at them all I just wish adults were as easy to buy for as children.
I'm sorry young Ladies, I would loooooove to talk some more, but I have to get up early in the morn, soooooo, I will bid you a lovely evening and a beautiful nights sleep
Nite nite Posh Emjay and nite nite to wondering what pressies to buy Sinfree luvs ya both a doooo xxxxxx
Nite nite everybody If you cant be smoke free, then, free the smoke, and open a window eh
Night Pete. There's no smoke in this house, well only from the smelly candle I've got burning here, Glade Nutcracker crunch - it's a bit yukky.
Well I'm going now. Night EmJay. I'll probs still be sat here in the morning scratching my head, having looked at every website on the internet looking for pressies. haha. Byeeee
