I am married to late Mr. David Gets , who worked with the United Nation Office in Iraq for 18 years before he was killed in a Car bomb accident along side with my two kids when they went there for a visit.

We were a dedicated Christians (Catholic) and decided to serve mankind to the best of our ability. Since his death, I have lived with ! the memories, fighting effortlessly to live a normal life but all to no avail.

I suffered mentally and psychologically and shortly was diagnosed of Cancer. I lived with the scourge praying earnestly for divine intervention. Just 4 days ago, the doctor informed me that I have just about two weeks more to live. I was not shocked. I accepted the news in good fate.

My dear beloved, it is in this regard that I write to you, having sourced you after fervent prayers. Before my husband died, he deposited a sum of $8.3Million (Eight Million, Three Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) with a bank in benin.

I alone have the deposit details and they will release the deposit to no one unless I instruct them to do so. The bank has no single idea of what’s the history or nature of the deposit. They are simply awaiting instructions to release the deposit to any party that I may direct. This is the situation. I will simply nominate you as the next o! f kin and have them release the deposit to you.

I have wholeheartedly decided to donate the entirety of this fund to any devoted believer or organization and to achieve this, I need an individual that will utilize this funds adherently for these purposes:

1: For the sick, less-privileged and destitute.

Just think this is about as low as it gets really.I actually do firmly believe that there are people out there (the elderly &vulnerable) who would reply to this upsetting email.Just beyond belief that anyone would do this.Odd thing sort of is that I'm going to Cape Verde for a holiday in November.It's a very 3rd world set of Islands off the coast of Africa, the nearest land is Somalia so maybe that explains a bit.

I totally agree with you I'm originally from south Africa and coming from a 3rd world country the sights you see are scary, but good people to write a letter like this when there are genuine people suffering really suffering it makes me so mad

Ugh! Unpleasant e mail apart, my brother went to Cape Verde a few years ago, said it was fabulous, enjoy your holiday. Funny non smoking thing.... I decided yesterday to try patches rather than my usual NRT thought it might calm me down a bit. My previous history with patches has been quite disastrous i.e. massive rashes, nasty smells, floating straight off my skin etc, but I thought ok they have changed over the years, give it a whirl. Yesterday morning, great, didn't use any other NRT at all and felt quite calm. Yesterday afternoon saw me puffing away on my inhalator thinking oh this was a mistake etc. etc. got home in the afternoon to discover that the patch had disappeared it had indeed floated off my skin again! But the moral of this for me was that I clearly didn't need the amount of NRT that I've been using, so time for a rethink....hee hee. Hope you are all ok. Have a happy Sunday.

Friezfriend, Just shows you your doing well with the nrts. I ended up with the inhalator but didnt replace the cartridge. seemed to work for me. Anything is better than smoking.

I also had this email and have been talking with the so called lady. They used a barristers name. David Ofosu-Dort. This is a real lawyer. I have contacted him, via another email address I found on-line. it wasn't until then I realised this was in fact a clever scam aimed at Christians and others with a giving nature. It is so very sick in nature, I'm still in shock! The real lawyer is alerting the cyber police in Africa. I've only just recently joined the Behcet's forum. Please can you warn others for me as this has left me very drained physically and emotionally. I've also talked with action fraud today. I pray these people be brought to justice. Bless you all
