Well what a few weeks i have had since christmas.I have had a virus since then and am still ill with it. I think i have been to the drs nearly every week since christams. This last visit he gave me steroids as i was having problems breathing. I am also anaemic which doesn't help recovery from the virus. I am more exhausted than normal and as soon as i get on my feet my breathing becomes difficult. I find laying on my bed is the best place for me,but i hate spending all the time upstairs. I sweat a lot and become clammy as well so the virus is still kicking my butt. I am so fed up now and i am going down the allotment with my hubby with my camera for some fresh air as i am going mad being in the house the whole time.
Hugs to all.xxxxx

Really sorry to hear you're still feeling so poorly Sylvi. Enjoy being outside, but don't potter about too much ! I really hope you begin to feel better soon.
Sorry to hear you are still unwell. This virus that is going around at the moment is kicking healthy people's butts let alone those if us with superseded immune systems. The fresh air should do you some good. Hope you feel better soon! 🎈🎈
I have been cooped up in the house since xmas day except for a docs appt and a hospital appt.i have has a haemorrage behind my eye which gave meca massive shiner and black cheek and bloodshot eye.Had this cold bug that went round.Legs started leaking again so had to go back in compression bandaging and since then been vomiting .
Every xmas we always go to the seaside for the day to blow away the xmas cobwebs .We have kept delaying this as every day we planned to go I Wasnt well enough. We finally got there on thursday - it was fabulous just so nice to be out .in the sea air, have lunch out, look round a couple of shops.I was beginning to feel like I was never going to leave the house.
So go down the allotment get some fresh air and take some nice photos, and I am sure you will feel better for it.I know my trip out the other day helped me.
It really is giving you a kicking this virus. Has your GP not suggested you gave a chest x ray? Just wondering if there's anything else underlying causing your breathing difficulties. I wonder, do you have a fully reclining chair or maybe a day bed you could put in a 'quiet' room, so you don't feel so isolated when you need to rest? Hoping you get over this soon. x
I have a recliner darling which i am in most of the day,but i find my bed is more comfy.I do spend most of the day down here though. I am anaemic which isn't helping my recovery, but i hope the steroids will help.Thank you for your kind words.xxxxx
Oh dear Sylvi I am so sorry you are still feeling so poorly. I thought mine was bad but I have had a chest infection for 3.5 weeks. I should have had surgery on my hand last week but that had to be cancelled. The surgeon wants me to be clear for a month so back to Drs tomorrow for a check. Like you my breathing is easier when I am lying down but I have asthma as well so it doesn't help. I hope you enjoy being out in the fresh air today but take it easy xx
So sorry you're still feeling poorly. My mum has also still got it. She came to stay with us at the end of December for a week! Her symptoms have gone apart from the extreme tiredness. Gealtwise she is usually very fit for her age (82) but the fatigue is really getting her down. I'm going to phone my Drs about her tomorrow about her, but she is anti medication- says she's managed without pills for so long, she doesn't need to start now! She blanches when she sees my prescription list! Sorry that was all a bit of a rant about someone who isn't even a COPD sufferer!
You really are getting kicked about a lot, you poor thing. I'll go out for a little walk today and if I spot any viruses, it's going to payback time! I'll kick them to death, promise. Hope you get better soon. HUGS!
