Went to the hospital to see my rheumy nurse and also saw my consultant as well. They are going to refer me to another consultant for a fresh pair of eyes on me. Also they are sending me to the pain clinic doctor as well. That was Wednesday , come Thursday i saw my gp as i still wasn't feeling well and he thinks i have sinus problems as well as the tinnitus. He gave me some exercises to do as well. I have had a good howl this morning and it has relieved some of the pressure on my head, but i am still so exhausted and tired and i am fed up to say the least.
Hugs everybody.xxx

sorry to hear your having a rough time hope they get you sorted soon,x
Sorry things are so lousy for you Sylvi. I hope this new consultant can take a fresh look at your problems. I have many things hurting and feel unwell a lot of the time but I have never really suffered tinnitus and am very thankful for this at least. It must be very wearing.
Take care,

Lets hope the fresh eyes will be able to help you. It's does us good to have a big howl and cry from time to time, as you say it relieved the pressure in your head. Take it easy. xx
I too suffer with tinnitus.Drives me crazy! It's a high pitched sound that is constant. Never goes! Also have been a martyr to sinus problems, until I had them washed out. Not pleasant, but I've never had a problem since.
Thank Carolyn and every one of you. Yes it does drive you nuts doesn't it. I am resting today and just taking it easy.xxxx
Hi Sylvi
Sorry to hear you are not well still. I have tinnitus. At first I thought it palpitations but it's definitely tinnitus. It's so loud sometimes I can hardly hear. It's mainly in my right ear and I have very little hearing in that ear.

Oops sorry someone was at the door and I must have pressed Submit lol.
But I now know it's a side effect of amitriptyline which I take to help me sleep ( Costachondritis). I too have had sinus issues and have rhinitis too. The sinus headaches are just awful aren't they. I found inhaling Vicks vapour rub in hot water and a towel over my head quite useful. I can't take Sudofed type drugs as they make me very wound up.
Your local ENT department may have a tinnitus clinic where they give you tips on how to distract yourself ( my local hospital does).
I really hope you start to feel better very soon. Hugs ((( )))).
My hearing aid is supposed to do that. I have tried vicks in a facial sauna to no avail. Mind you with the drugs the doctor gave me my head feels a lot lighter this morning. I also have very dry eyes and mouth, but doctors can't confirm whether i have Sjorgens or not. Mind you i think i have as you want to see my eyes somedays they are swollen and dark and very sore a lot of the time.xxx
Mine is in my left ear and i have had nearly 20 yrs and i am more or less deaf in that ear and i have a lovely pink hearing aid as well. I feel a wee bit brighter today, but that is because i am not doing anything at all today. This fatigue is horrible.xxx
Do hope you feel better soon, I'm lucky, so far, with my hearing, I had a good friend who suffered with tinnitus, and she found it really difficult to cope with.
Hope the pain clinic appointment comes soon, unrelieved pain is so debilitating, no wonder you are low!
Tinnitus is horrible I had it come on suddenly this year, no one could tell me the cause they put it down to the RA in my neck/jaw! Interesting though that people who get it tend to suffer with sinus problems too. Hope you feel better soon
You've had it such a long time, I've only had it 6 months...it was so distressing when it came on especially as noone could tell me the cause. Any coping tips you have would be appreciated!!!! Hope you feel better soon xxx
Was rushed down the hospital this afternoon as my tinnitus went off and the room went round and i was very sick. Am home now after they gave me an injection. This is what happens to me when my tinnitus goes of. Will write a post tomorrow as i still don't feel very well.xxx
