1 year smoke free

I still can’t quite believe that I’ve been smoke free for a year (Hope I got my exact date right Roisin). Time has really flown & I can safely say that with some help of Champix, this forum, my boyfriend’s encouragement & air smoking a straw for a while...lol, the cravings passed & I very rarely even think of smoking. It hardly crosses my mind anymore. What a feeling of absolute freedom 😀😀 Am I allowed in the penthouse yet? Lol 🤗

Hey Sparkle11 - Julie, wow, huge congratulations on 1 year, you are spot on with the date today, that year really flew by as you kept plodding along quietly.... hope you are celebrating it in style in lovely Italy, just booked 4 nights in Rome in August, this will be our fourth time there - fell in love with it when we first went there on our honeymoon

Thanks very much Roisin. Didn’t really celebrate as to be honest I kind of forgot. Lol. Ahhhh. Bella Roma! When you coming? I’ll raise a glass to myself during the football finals tonight and pat myself on the back for my achievement 🍸🍾 (although I’m gutted that England are out! 🇬🇧) How do I arrive at the Penthouse? 🤗

Heading over 7th August, so looking forward to it as been 4 years ago since we were last there.

As Ireland sadly didn't get through to the World Cup, decided to support Columbia, gutted when they left, picked Croatia and so sad for them today, that penalty really knocked their confidence.... ;9

Wow! Rome will be boiling then. Are you just staying there or traveling around a bit? I was routing for Croatia too, in fact we watched the game with some Croatian friends. Gutted!

Congrats ..I’m about a month away from a year .. it’s great how you forget about them and there no longer part of your life ..

ok , on rare occasions a boredom or a very relaxed mood can give you a ( ciggy moment ) but that soon goes and you just carry on ..

onwards and upwards ..

I’m doing my best to get others to quit at work etc m as if I can do It , an6one can , but that dosnt seem to be to .. so it’s a very strong thing to do .. so very chuffed with myself for doing it .. having to was the reason but I with it ...
