Here I go again

I’ve been away for a while, after 6 months on champix I stopped taking the pill, was tired of managing the upset stomach every time I took it, then I started smoking a bit at Christmas. One led to two, two to three then bam right back to almost a pack a day.

Well today I decided enough is enough. I’m tired of smelling, tired of hiding around the outside corners of the house, wearing gloves, changing coats to hide the smell and hiding from my kids after I’ve snuck outside.

This time I’m going cold turkey and god damn it I’m gonna beat this.

Hey Dunny77 , good to hear from you but sorry things didn't work out for you

It takes courage to come back on here and share your struggles, you're back now and on the horse again, well done! Keep up that positive mindset that you CAN beat this. I am over 2 and a half years smoke free now and done it cold turkey, yeah, its a roller coaster of a journey but nothing great is easy to achieve!!

How is Day 2 going Dunny77 ?📆🚭

Dunny 77 exellent desition ! Also ask your doctor for a prescription of another pill similar to champix but with diferent ingredient I’m not sure what the name is at this moment but it’s the next choice for people with intolerance to Chanpix .If you do well with cold turkey that’s great but if you need just s little help science and technology have something for everyone Now day ..

I’m a mother of a 16 year old boy and he recently lost his uncle( from his father side )from smoking lung damage and it was very cruel dead ..so I’m glad I’m 8 months smoke free ..You can do this 👍

Dumny, don’t beat yourself your self up. Each time we try to quit we get stronger and wiser. I can’t count the number of times I tried but the last time i did.....it stuck and was so much easier than ever before. With cold turkey, you only have one set of changes and withdrawals. Everything else has two steps and lots of problems con occur. Keep it up we are all here to cheer you on.
